US 36, Bethany host $1,000 to win United Rebel Sprint Series shows

OSBORN, Mo. – Missouri speedplants US 36 Raceway and Bethany Speedway host first-ever appearances by the United Rebel Sprint Series this weekend, with $1,000 to win Budweiser Shootout shows on Friday, June 4 and Saturday, June 5 programs.

On Friday, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car competitors head to the Bud Shootout at US 36 Raceway in Osborn, where Mike Sosebee of Sosebee Motorsports has put up $400 for the winner of a pole dash for the top six heat race qualifiers.

On Saturday, the series heads to Bethany for the bookend night of the weekend doubleheader. This race also will pay $1,000 to win with $200 to start the main event.

“We’re anticipating a good mix of series drivers, local drivers, plus drivers from Nebraska and Iowa,” said promoter Jon Boller Jr. “And the weather is looking great, 88 degrees and beautiful.”

Pit passes are $35. General admission both nights is $25 for adults, kids ages 7-12 are $8 and six and under are free.

Pit gates and the grandstand open at 5 p.m. both days with hot laps at 7:30 p.m. with racing at 8 p.m. Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods are on both Friday and Saturday cards.

Jeremy Huish leads the Drive to Zero POWRi United Rebel Sprint Series Presented by Mel Hambelton Ford Racing point standings, with Jordan Knight, Kyler Johnson, Zach Blurton and Connor Atkinson rounding out the top five.

Blurton collects career 4th Soderberg Memorial win

(Sept. 19) – Zach Blurton added a fourth Jerry Soderberg Memorial Champion­ship win to his resume by topping Saturday’s season-ending DCRP vs. United Rebel Sprint Series feature event atop the 3/8-mile Dodge City Raceway Park clay oval.  Blurton slid past Kyler Johnson on a lap three restart and led to the finish of the 25-lapper for IMCA Racesaver Sprint Cars for his second Dodge City win of the year and third consecutive win in the season-ender.  After an early red flag, Blurton weathered one more red flag seven laps shy of the checkered flag when Connor Atkinson flipped in turn two. Track title quests continue at U.S. 36 Raceway

OSBORN, Mo. – With Modified Madness in the rear view mirror, the IMCA divisions racing for track championships continue the battle this Friday, May 29 at U.S. 36 Raceway.  IMCA Modifieds, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern­SportMods are all set to hit the high banks. The pit gates open at 4 p.m. The grandstands open at 6 p.m., with hot laps at 7:30 and the first heat race at 8 p.m.  Tickets for the event are $15. Seniors and military are $12 and children 12 and younger are free. A pit pass is $35. United Rebel Sprint Series making Thunder Through the Plains stop at 81

With counties and states slowly reopening, he has been on the phone contacting track promoters to give his “Rebels” a chance to hit the track.  He scored a marquee event as the tour will join the Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All-Star Circuit of Champi­ons appearance at 81 Speedway in Park City, Kan., on Sunday, June 7.  This $700 to win, $200 to start event for IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars will be only the second race on the 2020 race season that has suffered through event cancelations and plenty of reschedul­ing. Two-time and defending series champion Zach Blurton won the season opener this past Saturday night at Salina Speedway.
