OSBORN, Mo. (Aug. 17) – Chad Clancy was a double winner Friday at US 36 Raceway, topping IMCA Modified and IMCA Sunoco Stock Car features.

Clancy battled Mich Ross before going the upper hand in the Stock Car show. He went side-by-side and wheel-to-wheel with Richard Spriggs before taking his second checkers of the evening in the Modified main.

Matt Lent ran a near-perfect Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod main event and the result was his career-first win. Steve Starmer was second while Josh Munsen’s late charge for third.

Jack Potter led every lap in winning his first local IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car main event.

Drivers wished a happy birthday to Caleb Hammond via live video, and collected stickers as well as more than $1,000 during intermission for the 11-year-old race fan from Oskaloosa, Iowa, bat­tling leukemia.

US 36 Raceway to offer online tickets this season

OSBORN, Mo. – U.S. 36 Raceway is pleased to announce that online tickets will be available for pre-purchase this season.  Fans and teams will now have the opportunity to plan ahead and purchase their tickets through U.S. 36’s new online home http://us36racewaydirttrack.com and MyRacePass. Either click on the Buy Tickets button on the home page or click on the ticket icon under the schedule and results.  Tickets are set to go on sale Monday, March 8. Tickets will have an available window to purchase online through noon the day of the event.  After purchasing your ticket, print out the voucher and bring it, along with a valid I.D. of the purchaser, to the track the night of the event. Championship Night, Fan Appreciation Friday at US 36 Raceway 

OSBORN, Mo. – US 36 Raceway crowns champions in three IMCA divisions during Fan Appreciation Night this Friday, Aug. 31. Final points races of the season are on the schedule for IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods. Matt Richards has already clinched the unofficial IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car title at Osborn. General admission for adults is $10 with kids 12 years of age and under getting in free to grandstands. Prices have been rolled back to $1 for hot dogs, pop and water and $2 for adult beverages. There will also be prizes for best Halloween costumes worn by adults and kids.

Misfit Challenge features this weekend at US 36, Eagle

By Rick Staley OSBORN, Mo. – US 36 Speedway at Osborn, Mo., and Eagle, Neb., Raceway are paying $700 to win and $350 to start their respective Friday, Aug. 3 and Saturday, Aug. 4 Misfit Challenge main events. The winner of the two-track point bonus will earn $300 cash, enjoy a sit-down meal with Thomas Weeks of the Discovery Channel’s Misfit Garage during the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Nationals weekend and compete with a free wrap Sprint Nationals weekend with the Discovery Channel Misfit Garage Design. As an added bonus, all IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car drivers racing at US 36 Raceway receive free Admission/pit pass. Also running Friday are IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods. The Shocker Chassis 6-Pack Shootout for the top six vote getters in the Northern SportMods is on the card with one lucky fan being drawn to participate and win a cash prize Gates open at 5 p.m. and racing begins at 8 p.m.
