Mini Mod Challenge Saturday for Mod Lites of Arkansas

WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. – The Mod Lites of Arkansas make their return to Riverside International Speedway this Saturday, June 5 for the fourth annual Mini Mod Challenge presented by Rays Automotive.

One of the crown jewel events for IMCA STARS Mod Lites, the Mini Mod Challenge pays $500 to win. Four heat race winners and the top four in passing points will run a pole dash, then the front row starters will be offered the challenge of starting at the tail and racing for $1,000 to win.

The challenge has been accepted and several drivers have come close, but not won from the tail. A great car count is expected for the Saturday show.

Pit passes are $30, entry fee is $15 and transponders are $10. 

Spectator admission is $12 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-11 and free for five and under. Gates open at 5 p.m., hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. and racing is at 7 p.m.

Winning continues for Reid in MLA opener

PLUMERVILLE, Ark. (April 20, 2024) – Jace Reid continued his winning ways Saturday night, as he led from the opening lap en route to the checkers in the first Mod Lites of Arkansas event of 2024 at Two Dollar Pistol Motor Speedway. The Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lite victory was the third in as many consecutive starts for Reid, from Nashville, at the Plumerville speed factory. Reid led from the pole and was unchallenged throughout most of the 25-lapper but that didn’t mean the win was not without some drama as his car started to show signs of overheating and smoke emerging in the closing circuits. Son and father Blake and Jeromy Wilson completed the top three with Blake being the evening’s hard charger as he raced from 11th starting to finish in the runner-up position. Mod Lites of Arkansas, Crowley’s Ridge Racing For The Paws this Saturday night

PARAGOULD, Ark. (June 14, 2023) – This Saturday night, June 17, the Mod Lites of Arkansas, a Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lite series, will be making its series debut at Crowley’s Ridge Raceway for the first annual Racing For The Paws while raising needed pet food and supplies for the Greene County Animal Farm.  Already home to the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, this will mark the second time in the speed plant’s 30-plus year history that another IMCA sanctioned division will participate at the historic race track operated by the Francis family for generations. “We are really excited to welcome new racers and fans to our community.
