Crump up to Challenge at Diamond Park in IMCA STARS Mod Lites series opener

NASHVILLE, Ark. (April 10) – Titan Crump proved up to challenge Saturday night, topping the opening Challenge Series installment at Diamond Park Speedway and taking home $1,000 for his first IMCA STARS Mod Lite feature win of the season. 

After tuning up for the 20-lap main event with the $100 dash for cash victory, Crump started from the pole and had his hands full with Blake Wilson near midway before pulling away from the rest of the field.

“This is my biggest win. It’s awesome,” said Crump, who followed the middle groove much of the way and used the lower line to work through traffic. “The track was great.”

After motor issues in his first start of the season, Crump had run third at home track I-30 Speedway’s Joey Bradshaw Memorial the previous weekend.

“The good luck is starting to come back,” he said. 

Chad Kirkpatrick and 13th starting Chris Tucker completed the top three at Diamond Park.

Wilson wheels to victory lane in IMCA STARS Mod Lite Challenge Series

MURFREESBORO, Ark. (May 29) – Blake Wilson took his IMCA STARS Mod Lite to the winner’s circle from mid-pack on Saturday night at the Diamond Park Speedway’s second of five schedule Challenge Series races.  Early on, it was pole sitter Jace Reid who set the pace. Not to be out done, James Rollins and Jimmy Brown both battled for and at one point held the race lead.  Methodically, the 10th starting Wilson stalked the field and worked his way through traffic. Chance Hull followed Wilson, his starting row neighbor, toward the front and put himself in the mix for the lead at about mid-way until a caution came out for an airborne Charles Armstrong II on the front stretch.   By this point, Wilson had gotten to third with Hull in tow. On the restart, Wilson edged Rollins and set sail, never to be challenged again until a late-race caution but only for about half a lap.  The race was on for second  and ninth starting Chris Tucker blasted into the fray and challenged Rollins for second the final [Read More]

Wilson on top of Challenge Series, again

MURFREESBORO, Ark (Aug. 7) – Blake Wilson and what has become The 18 Show held off a strong Lone Star State contingent to lay victory to his second IMCA STARS Mod Lite Challenge Series presented by Super Clean feature Saturday at Diamond Park Speedway. Wilson was the night’s top qualifier in passing points, going from ninth to second in his heat, and that landed him front row with his father Jeromy. The elder Wilson turned fast time of the night at a blistering 16.176 on the red clay speed plant better known as ‘The Park’. A strong field of competitors including national STARS Mod Lite contender Kaden Cochrun, Texas’ own Willie Veach, Jr., Dawson Fisher, Aubrey Taylor, Jason Reavis and the lone entry from the Volunteer state was Cookeville, TN driver Ronnie Choate. The 25-lap main event paid $1,000 to the winner and a possible $400 additional bounty if they could beat Wilson or track regular James ‘Big Daddy’ Rollins. Diamond Park hosts second annual 94M Memorial: Caleb’s Legacy on Oct. 7

(Sept. 29, 2023) – Diamond Park Speedway, along with local sponsors will host the second annual tribute to the late Caleb and Andrea McCollett on Saturday, Oct. 7 – the day before marking two years since their passing and what would be his 30th birthday weekend. The family of Caleb McCollett and their closest friends have raised an enormous amount of money to be paid out in the couple’s honor, and to continue to show love and support for their 4-year-old daughter, Penelope Kate McCollett. The IMCA STARS Mod Lite feature will pay the winner $1,094 and $94 to start the 20-lap main event.
