Bradshaw Memorial starts I-30 season for IMCA STARS Mod Lites

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – I-30 Speedway will host its first IMCA STARS Mod Lite event on March 27, with the third annual Joey Bradshaw Memorial paying $500 to win.

The 21-lap feature is expected to bring a strong field of competitors from Iowa, Missouri, Tennessee and Texas to challenge the Mod Lites of Arkansas regulars, among them the likes of defending track champion Bryce Vowan, a four-time winner last season, and defending MLA series champion Blake Wilson, who collected three checkers at Little Rock in 2020.

Tough customers Chris Tucker and Chad Kirkpatrick will be counted among the contenders as well.

Gates open at 5 p.m. Adult spectator admission is $20 with kids 12 and under free compliments of Dove Plumbing. Pit passes are $35.

Big money on line in Little Rock with I-30’s IMCA STARS Mod Lite Short Track Nationals

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Big money is on the line this weekend in Little Rock. I-30 Speedway’s IMCA STARS Mod Lite Short Track Nationals Friday and Saturday, Sept. 17 and 18 pays $6,000 to win and a minimum of $200 to start, with a strong field of drivers from across the country and across town already entered.  Title sponsor of the third annual event is Bumper to Bumper of Little Rock.  Pit gates open at 6 p.m. and practice runs ‘til 9 p.m. Thursday night. IMCA Modifieds chase $3,000 check at I-30’s Ed Jordan Memorial 

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A top check of $3,000 is at stake this Saturday, July 21 at I-30 Speedway’s sixth annual Ed Jordan Memorial for IMCA Modifieds. A minimum of $300 will be paid to start the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier. Entry fee is $100 and includes the driver’s pit pass if paid by July 19. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Jet Racing Central Region, Arkansas State and track points will be awarded. Spectator admission is $12 for adults, $1 for kids ages 6-12 and free for five and under. Pit passes are $30. Pit gates and the grandstand open at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 7 p.m. with racing to follow. I-30 Speedway lightning quick to sanction IMCA STARS Mod Lites

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Promoter Tracey Clay caught lightning in a bottle last season with the addition of IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars to weekly programs at I-30 Speedway.  She’ll do that again in 2021, sanctioning the new IMCA STARS Mod Lite division at her central Arkansas speedplant.  “We have run this class 15 years or so. They started as dwarf cars and became Mod Lites. I love the class – they’re a great group of drivers,” Clay said. “I talked to (STARS president and now division director) Jimmy May at our Mod Lite special last fall about the IMCA sanction.
