Racing canceled for Friday at U.S. 36

OSBORN, Mo. – With Modified Madness in the rear view mirror, the IMCA divisions racing for track championships continue the battle this Friday, May 29 at U.S. 36 Raceway.  IMCA Modifieds, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern­SportMods are all set to hit the high banks. The pit gates open at 4 p.m. The grandstands open at 6 p.m., with hot laps at 7:30 and the first heat race at 8 p.m.  Tickets for the event are $15. Seniors and military are $12 and children 12 and younger are free. A pit pass is $35. By Rick Staley OSBORN, Mo. (May 5, 2023) – IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars roared to the track Friday night and Jacob Dye roared to his first feature win of the season at US 36 Raceway. Jack Potter took the early lead, setting a blistering pace on the fast and smooth 3/8’s mile dirt oval with Jacob Dye in tow. Mike Houseman Jr. and Tyler Drueke battled and ran down the leaders as the race developed with Potter continuing to lead. Going caution-free, Dye made his move on the high side of turn four as the white flag waved, took the lead from Potter and picked up his first feature win of 2023. OSBORN, Mo. – U.S. 36 Raceway hosts the Joe Crist Memorial Stock Car Shootout on Friday, July 24, with $1,562 going to the winner of the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car special. The feature pays a minimum of $125 to start. Crist drove the number 62 Stock Car and $162 will go to the driver making the longest haul to Osborn and $62 paid to each heat winner and the hard charger in the feature. Another $62 goes to the driver drawing the 62 pill.  IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region, Missouri State and track points will be awarded at the draw/redraw show. There is no entry fee and pit passes are $35. Grandstand admission is $15 for adults and free for kids ages 12 and under. IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods are also on the program that evening.  Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 6 p.m. Hot laps are at 7:30 p.m. with racing to follow.
