Rain postpones Bud Shootout at U.S. 36 Raceway

OSBORN, Mo. (June 19) – Due to late morning rain, US 36 Raceway officials have canceled racing for June 19. 

With the threat for more storms later today and driver’s traveling from several different states, US 36 made the decision to cancel for tonight. 

The Bud Shootout featuring the Sprint Series of Nebraska is postponed to Friday, July 3. The Doyle Lance Remembrance Race for the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars is postponed to next Friday, June 26. The race pays $700 to win and $100 to start. 

In addition to the Doyle Lance Remembrance Race, up next at US 36 Raceway, Friday June 26, is the Weekly Racing Series featuring IMCA Modifieds, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars and Karl Kustoms SportMods.

Racing action returns to the high banks of US 36 Raceway

By Rick Staley  OSBORN, Mo. – Exciting racing action like none other roars back on the beautiful high banks of US 36 Raceway tonight (Friday) with IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern Sport Mods on the Aug. 27 program.  The HWY 36 Auto and Diesel Shocker Chassis Shootout is this Friday Night as well with Mich Ross, Rickie Bobby, Shadren Turner, Nate Barnes, Carson Masoner and JJ Baumli ready to compete. One lucky fan can leave with $200 cash in their pocket if they choose the winning driver, if not, they still receive $100 for playing so be sure and sign up at the beer shack for a chance to win. U.S. 36 hosts fourth annual Crist Memorial for IMCA Stock Cars

OSBORN, Mo. – U.S. 36 Raceway hosts the Joe Crist Memorial Stock Car Shootout on Friday, July 24, with $1,562 going to the winner of the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car special. The feature pays a minimum of $125 to start. Crist drove the number 62 Stock Car and $162 will go to the driver making the longest haul to Osborn and $62 paid to each heat winner and the hard charger in the feature. Another $62 goes to the driver drawing the 62 pill.  IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region, Missouri State and track points will be awarded at the draw/redraw show. There is no entry fee and pit passes are $35. Grandstand admission is $15 for adults and free for kids ages 12 and under. IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods are also on the program that evening.  Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 6 p.m. Hot laps are at 7:30 p.m. with racing to follow.

Racing canceled at US 36 Raceway for May 15

OSBORN, Mo. – Due to overnight rains, US 36 Raceway officials have canceled racing for May 15.  US 36 Raceway officials do not want the track to break up and after last week feel it is in the best interest of our racers and teams to cancel today’s race. This upcoming week, US 36 Raceway is bringing in a crew and equipment to help completely rework the racetrack to improve the racing surface before the next event.
