Clark is super in Sprint win at Bethany

BETHANY, Mo. (June 6) – Justin Clark made the 10-hour trip from Hamersville, Ohio, to win the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car feature in front of a big crowd Saturday at Bethany Speedway.

A victim of mechanical issues in a mid-May start at Bethany, Clark took the lead at the drop of the green and stayed in front to the checkers, building a half-lap lead at one point. 

Kyler Johnson started seventh and was in second by the three-quarter mark of the race but had nothing for Clark. Kenny Potter finished third. Dustin Reeh and Danny Clark rounded out the top five in fourth and fifth.

Clark is coming off a three-win 2019 campaign and will make one more racing trip out west before tour action starts closer to home.

Chase Rudolf was the IMCA Modified winner and 10th starting J.J. Baumli was best in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car main. Tyler Inman raced from sixth in winning the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod feature.

Baumli, Bowers continue to add Bethany wins

BETHANY, Mo. (Aug. 1) – Steven Bowers Jr. and J.J. Baumli both continued their winning ways at historic Bethany Speedway Saturday evening. Bowers has taken control of the IMCA Modified division locally as he chases the national championship, having won all but one feature at Bethany this year heading into the night. At the start, Mike Dotson took the point and battled Nicholas Carpenter while Bowers started 10th and was working through the pack, bringing Shayne Bailey with him. Out of turn two, Bowers and Carpenter split Dotson high and low and ran three wide all the way down the backstretch and into three. Bowers came out with the lead and went on to win with Carpenter in second and Dotson third. Carson Masoner led early in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car main, then Blake Peeler took the lead and tried to get away from everybody. 10 states now represented at US 36, Bethany IMCA openers

OSBORN, Mo. – Opening night events this weekend at US 36 Raceway and Bethany Speedway bring IMCA drivers from across the nation to the Show-Me State. IMCA drivers from Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio and Indiana join competitors from closer to home on season-opening cards Friday, May 8 at Osborn and Saturday, May 9 at Bethany. IMCA Modified, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car, IMCA Sunoco Stock Car and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod entries are also in hand from Colorado, Oklahoma, Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas, as well as Missouri.  “We’re expecting to get drivers from a couple more states, too. $5 wristband admission Saturday at Bethany

By Rick Staley BETHANY, Mo, – Bethany Speedway is the place to be this Saturday, June 30 for Toot Toot Family Restaurant and Lounge Night at the Races. A grandstand wristband from US 36 Raceway the night before gets fans grandstand admission at Bethany for only $5. Divisions in action include the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods. Intermission sees a watermelon eating contest for kids and kids at heart with prizes given throughout the crowd. The green flag drops at 8 p.m.
