Opening night, Bill Davis Memorial events start season at Stuart

STUART, Iowa – Opening night kicks off a big week of IMCA racing at Stuart Speedway. 

IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts start the 2020 campaign at Stuart on Wednesday, May 20. 

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, state and track points will be awarded for the lidlifter. Pit gates open at 5 p.m. with hot laps at 6:45 p.m. and racing to follow.

Both IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks run Sunday, May 24. The second annual Bill Davis Sr. event on Memorial Day boasts a $1,000 to win, Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying feature for the IMCA Modifieds. Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts complete the Monday, May 25 card.

Pit gates open at 4 p.m. with racing at 6 p.m. and hot laps to follow both nights and IMCA national, regional, state and track points will be awarded.

All three shows will be draw/redraw. Pit passes are $30 on Wednesday and Monday and $35 on Sunday.

To properly allow for social distancing on Wednesday, track officials will allow all reserved pit stall drivers to pit in the main pits and hang up their sign where they requested to be this season. All other drivers will use the grassy area in the overflow pit. 

All crew, family, and friends’ personal vehicles will be parked where spectators normally park. Two pit gates will be open, by the ticket office and on the west road. No more than 10 people will be allowed in an individual driver’s pit stall at the same time. 

Drivers are also asked to get all their information for put on MyRacePass to speed up opening night.
