Stuart Speedway set for July 2 Ron Little Memorial

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa – Memorial Weekend Cornbelt Clash dates take IMCA STARS Mod Lites to Marshalltown Speedway, Boone Speedway and Stuart Speedway for $500 to win features each night. A minimum of $100 will be paid to start each May 28, 29 and 30 feature with a $30 entry fee each night.  Marshalltown opens the gates at 5:15 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Gates at Boone open at 3:30 p.m. and Saturday racing starts at 6 p.m. and on Sunday, gates at Stuart open at 5 p.m. and racing follows 7 p.m. hot laps.  The Yoshimura bonus will be paid on Sunday, with $250 going to the winner, $150 to the runner-up and $100 to the third place driver. The driver racing all three nights and finishing with the top point total also takes home $100 in cash. Other awards will be given by Hoosier Tire and Rod End Supply. By Josh Reynolds  STUART, Iowa (Aug. 5) – Bob Daniels worked his way to the front, then cruised to the Wednes­day night IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature win at Stuart Speedway.  Brad Derry and Brock Badger showed the way to the green flag but Daniels used the bottom of the track to take over the lead just before halfway and stayed in front to the checkers. Badger fin­ished second with Buck Schafroth third.       Tim Ward led the way through traffic and led Tom Berry Jr. across the stripe in the IMCA Modified main event. Dylan Nelson took charge at the crossed flags and led to the finish of the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature. There was no catching Brayton Carter after he rocketed from seventh starting to the lead two laps into the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod feature. Hunter Patrick topped a thriller for the Mach-1 Sport Compacts. Aug. 19 will be Hall of Fame Night.

By Josh Reynolds  STUART, Iowa (July 27, 2022) – Karl Chevrolet of Stuart International Speedway had 125 cars in the pits for the Clint Walrod Memorial Wednesday night. Feature winners were Michael Hotze, Cam Reimers, Austin Kaplan, Cody Laney and Dylan Nelson. The first feature on the track was the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts with Hotze, Tyler Fiebelkorn and Kolby Sabin battling over the top three spots. Hotze stretched his lead out to just over a second and went on to the $1,000 feature win, his first in the division. Sabin came out on top in the battle for second with Fiebelkorn third, Jake Walding fourth and Ryan Brown fifth. Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods came out next and it was Bryan Morris leading one lap before the yellow flew. Tyler Inman blasted into the lead on the restart and held it until Reimers moved by on lap seven.
