STUART, Iowa (July 10) – Daniel Baudler earned his Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod career first feature win Wednesday at Stuart Speedway. 

Baudler led Brandon Patava and David Schwartz on lap one. Patava took over the lead on lap three and led until Baudler retook the top spot on lap nine.

Colton Nelson threw his hat in the ring on lap 10 but faded after that as Patava shot back into second a lap later. Baudler looked to be on his way to the win but had to wait as a lap 16 caution set up a two-lap dash to the finish.

As Hunter Longnecker and Schwartz battled for second it was all Baudler as he would go on to his first career victory in the division. Schwartz came out on top in the battle for second with Longnecker third, Tyler Inman fourth and Nelson fifth. 

Josh Daniels was the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car winner and Chuck Madden Jr. followed the preferred line to the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock checkers.

Mitchell Bunch muscled his way into the lead with three laps to go and went on to take the Mach-1 Sport Compact win.

Saturday start for IMCA Midwest Madness Tour

HARLAN, Iowa – IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars race for a minimum of $1,000 to win each night of the Arnold Motor Supply Midwest Madness Tour. The tour starts Saturday, June 27 at Shelby County Speedway in Harlan, then travels to The New Raceway Park Speedway at Jefferson, S.D., on Sunday, June 28; Clay County Fair Speedway at Spencer on Monday, June 29; Fairmont, Minn., Raceway on Tuesday, June 30; Kossuth County Speedway in Algona on Wednesday, July 1; Stuart Speedway on Thursday, July 2; and Crawford County Speedway in Denison on Friday, July 3. All shows are draw/redraw and each Modified feature is a qualifying event for the 2020 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. Shute dominates IMCA Modifieds at Stuart’s Durbin Memorial

By Josh Reynolds STUART, Iowa (May 12) – A dominating run ended with Todd Shute standing in victory lane at Stuart Speedway’s Jake Durbin Memorial. Shute and Josh Gilman made up the front row of the IMCA Modified headliner, and Shute led Gilman and Matthew Meinecke early with the rest of the field two- and three-wide behind.  Chase Rudolf made it to third on lap eight, but it was all Shute on this night as he drove to the caution-free win, worth $1,000. Already on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot, Shute won ahead of Gilman in second with Rudolf third.  One hundred and thirty-four cars rolled into town for the Wednesday night show. Other IMCA winners were Damon Murty, Josh May, Brandon Cox, Hunter Longnecker and Craig Furstenau.  Michael Jeannette and Bob Daniels led the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars to the green flag next with Jeannette leading early. Gilman is IMCA Modified winner at Stuart’s Bill Davis Sr. Memorial

By Josh Reynolds  STUART, Iowa (June 22, 2022) – One hundred and five race cars made their way to Karl Chevrolet of Stuart International Speedway for the Bill Davis Sr. Memorial on Wednesday night. Todd VanEaton led the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature until a lap nine caution came out and the field was reset. This let 15-year-old Rowdee Van Genderen take advantage of the restart to get out front and lead the first feature laps of his young career.  Van Genderen led and was pulling away when another caution slowed the field on lap 15. He would stay out front for one more lap, but getting a great drive off of the bottom was Josh Pruitt with Miciah Hidlebaugh in tow. Hidlebaugh made it to Pruitt’s door in turn four but the two kept things clean and it was Pruitt taking the win.
