SEYMOUR, Wis. (June, 7) – Benji LaCrosse was the class of two fields, scoring wins in the IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars at Outagamie Speedway powered by Eastern Wisconsin Stock Car Racing.
Justin Ritchie jumped to the lead from his front row starting spot in the Modified main. LaCrosse quickly raced to second and set his sights on Ritchie.
With both drivers working the top groove, LaCrosse was forced to the bottom. Lap after lap, LaCrosse gained ground, eventually pulling even for the top spot.
With five laps remaining, LaCrosse took the lead from Ritchie and never looked back, scoring a popular win. Ritchie had his best run of the season to place second.
Kurt Olson led the first six laps of the Stock Car feature until Chaz Van Ooyen raced by for the top spot. Van Ooyen’s reign up front didn’t last long as Eric Arneson slipped by on lap eight.
After starting in row six, LaCrosse raced into the top four midway through the contest. With Arneson running low, LaCrosse took his Joe White prepared no. 11 to the top groove, blasting around Arneson with seven laps remaining.
LaCrosse went unchallenged the remainder of the contest. Arneson had to settle for second.
Cody Schroeder scored the win in the Karl Kustoms Northern Sport Mod feature. Matt Brehmer won his second feature in a row in the Mach-1 Sport Compacts.
