STUART, Iowa (May 22) – Josh Most was too much for his IMCA Modified foes Wednesday at Stuart Speed­way.

Most and Bob Daniels were on the front row for the start of the Veterans Night event and Most led lap one with Daniels and Scott Bash in tow. Nick Roberts passed Daniels and Bash for second on lap three, pull­ing Josh Gilman along into third.

Gilman moved into second on lap eight as Most stretched out almost a full straightaway lead at halfway. Ricky Thornton Jr., fresh off his IMCA Sunoco Stock Car win, passed Roberts for third on lap 13 and joined Gilman in the chase for the lead.

Lapped traffic began to play a factor on the 15th circuit and the top three began to get closer. Thornton passed Gilman for second as the white flag came out and looked to find a way around Most as they worked down the backstretch.

Thornton worked low, but Most was too strong through the middle of the track and took the checkered flag. Thornton finished second with Gilman third.

Along with Most and Thornton, feature winners also included a pair of defending national champions, Shan­non Anderson in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Ramsey Meyer in the Mach-1 Sport Com­pacts.

Kody Havens paced the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods.

Monday Night Spotlight shines at Stuart Speedway on July 2

STUART, Iowa – The spotlight shines on three IMCA divisions at Stuart Speedway’s Monday, July 2 Monday Night Spotlight special. IMCA Modifieds run for $1,000 to win in a feature that doubles as a 2018 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier and Harris Dash at the Clash qualifier. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods both run for $700 to win. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing national, regional and Iowa State points, but no track points will be given. The Monday Night Spotlight program will be broadcast by IMCA.TV and concludes with the 12th Dirt Dominator race. Pit gates and the grandstand open at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 7 p.m. with racing to follow. Spectator admission is $5 for adults and free for kids 12 and under. Stuart’s Bill Davis Sr. Memorial sports $1,000 IMCA Modified top prize

STUART, Iowa – IMCA Modifieds run for $1,000 to win, a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berth and a sweet, throwback-style trophy at Stuart Speedway’s May 5 Bill Davis Sr. Memorial.  IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods, IMCA STARS Mod Lites and Mach-1 Sport Compacts are also on the Wednesday night card and receive retro trophies as well. Extra money will be paid in all divisions and there will be prizes for every driver entered. Pit gates open at 5 p.m. with hot laps at 6:45 p.m. and racing to follow. Pit passes are $25 or $15 for non-competing youth ages 6-13. Grandstand admission is $12 for adults, $5 for youth ages 9-16 and free for eight and under. Carter comes up big at Ron Little Memorial finale to Midwest Madness Tour at Stuart

By Josh Reynolds STUART, Iowa (July 1) –One hundred and forty-four race cars came to the 22nd annual Ron Little Memorial and Karl Kustoms Midwest Madness Tour program at Stuart Speedway.  Tim Ward and Todd Shute were out front for the IMCA Modifieds. Shute led early with Cayden Carter blowing by on the bottom side on lap six. A caution on lap 26 bunched the field and gave them a shot at Carter but it was not to be as The Gasman, already on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot, took the $2,000 win. Kyle Brown finished second with Ward third, Joel Rust fourth and Shute fifth.  Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods saw Bryan Morris and Garrett Nelson on the front row. Izac Mallicoat shot into the lead early Brayton Carter gapping the field to take the win by over a straightaway. Brothers Garrett and Colton Nelson finished second and third, respectively, with Mallicoat fourth and Dusty Masolini fifth.  The IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature started with Rowdee Van Genderen and Josh Pruitt on the front row.
