Phillips captures much-anticipated Hobby Stock win at Stuart

STUART, Iowa – The top prize for IMCA Modifieds will be $2,000 while IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars race for $1,000 to win at Stuart Speedway’s Tuesday, July 2 Ron Little Memorial. The fourth installment of the Arnold Motor Supply Midwest Madness Tour is a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying event for the Modifieds.  The Modified main event pays a minimum of $150 to start, the Stock Car feature a minimum of $125. Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods race for $1,000 to win, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $500 to win and Mach-1 Sport Compacts for $300 to win at Stuart, with IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing national, regional and E3 Spark Plugs State points awarded in all divisions. HARLAN, Iowa – IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars race for a minimum of $1,000 to win each night of the Arnold Motor Supply Midwest Madness Tour. The tour starts Saturday, June 27 at Shelby County Speedway in Harlan, then travels to The New Raceway Park Speedway at Jefferson, S.D., on Sunday, June 28; Clay County Fair Speedway at Spencer on Monday, June 29; Fairmont, Minn., Raceway on Tuesday, June 30; Kossuth County Speedway in Algona on Wednesday, July 1; Stuart Speedway on Thursday, July 2; and Crawford County Speedway in Denison on Friday, July 3. All shows are draw/redraw and each Modified feature is a qualifying event for the 2020 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. By Josh Reynolds  STUART, Iowa (March 30) – The engines came to life Tuesday evening with drivers from all around in attendance for the IMCA Frostbuster opener at Stuart Speedway. Feature winners for the night were Cay­den Carter, Dallon Murty, Brayton Carter and Brandon Cox. Tony Hilgenberg and Jake McBirnie led a stacked IMCA Modified field to the green flag with Clay Money getting the jump from his fourth starting spot to lead lap one. Derrick Stewart slid into second on lap three as Money continued to lead. A couple yellows in the middle of the race tightened the field and set up a great run to the finish.
