IMCA Midwest Madness Tour primed for June 27-July 1 run

JEFFERSON, S.D. – IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars headline each night of the upcoming Midwest Madness Tour presented by Western Iowa Racing Results.

Both divisions race for $1,000 to win, with Modified features being qualifiers for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot and Stock Car features for the B & B chassis All-Star event, on Sunday, June 27 at Raceway Park in Jefferson, S.D; Monday, June 28 at Park Jefferson Speedway in Jefferson, S.D.; Tuesday, June 29 at Clay County Fair Speedway in Spencer, Iowa; Wednesday, June 30 at Buena Vista Raceway in Alta, Iowa; and Thursday, July 1 at Stuart, Iowa, Speedway.

Minimum start money is $150 for the Modifieds and $125 for the Stocks. Modified and Stock Car drivers must compete in at least four of the five events to be eligible for point funds to be paid to top five in points.

IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods also race each night with point fund shares to be paid to the top four drivers in standings for each of those two divisions. 

All drivers can pre-register at MyRacePass.

Qualifying starts for Stuart’s Dirt Duel

By Josh Reynolds STUART, Iowa (June 15) – Tuesday night saw 108 race cars and drivers at Stuart Speedway for opening night of the Dynamic Drivelines Dirt Duel.  Qualifying feature winners for the night were Dylan VanWyk and Brayton Carter in the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods, Dallon Murty and Chanse Hollatz in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, and Jeremy Purdy and Braden Richards in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks.  In the feature for Mach-1 Sport Compacts, Braxton Wallace and Dusty Champlin were on the front row. Wallace rocketed into the lead and it was all over from there as the T13 drove off to the win. Mark Smith finished second with Andrew Mills third, Harold Robb fourth and Curtis Masterson fifth. Cory Sonner and Kaden Cochrun led the IMCA STARS Mod Lites to the green flag and it was all Cochrun as he cruised to the win. Rain at Stuart

By Josh Reynolds STUART, Iowa – Races for April 7 at Stuart Speedway have been canceled due to the forecasted rain/severe weather. IMCA racing is back next Wednesday, April 14, with IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Mach-1 Sport Compacts.

Most masters Stuart IMCA Modified main event

By Josh Reynolds STUART, Iowa (May 22) – Josh Most was too much for his IMCA Modified foes Wednesday at Stuart Speed­way. Most and Bob Daniels were on the front row for the start of the Veterans Night event and Most led lap one with Daniels and Scott Bash in tow. Nick Roberts passed Daniels and Bash for second on lap three, pull­ing Josh Gilman along into third. Gilman moved into second on lap eight as Most stretched out almost a full straightaway lead at halfway. Ricky Thornton Jr., fresh off his IMCA Sunoco Stock Car win, passed Roberts for third on lap 13 and joined Gilman in the chase for the lead. Lapped traffic began to play a factor on the 15th circuit and the top three began to get closer. Thornton passed Gilman for second as the white flag came out and looked to find a way around Most as they worked down the backstretch.
