Four IMCA features each pay $1K at Stuart’s Dynamic Drivelines Dirt Duel

By Josh Reynolds STUART, Iowa (June 10) – The drivers running 1-2 in IMCA Sunoco Stock Car career wins ran 1-2 in a battle for the ages Wednesday at Stuart Speedway.  Brad Derry and Shawn Ritter lined up on the front row. Mike Nichols jumped to the lead on lap one and after a couple of cautions looked to cruise to the win, but a caution on lap 17 bunched the field and gave 11th starting Damon Murty a shot.  The top two put on a show over the last two laps and it was Nichols with a couple of strong moves to hang onto the lead and take the win by a half a car length. Murty finished in second with Todd VanEaton, Josh Daniels and Buck Schafroth the rest of the top five.  John Davis and Scott Bash led the IMCA Modified field to the green flag. STUART, Iowa – The winner of Stuart Speedway’s Whole Hog 50 special for IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars brings home the bacon May 30-31. The inaugural special pays $5,000 and possibly a whole hog to win and a minimum of $400 to start. Heat races and qualifying features for Stock Cars are on Sunday, with all drivers making an ‘A’ main. Stock Cars will run heat races and last-chance qualifiers to fill the field on Memorial Day.  Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying features for the IMCA Modifieds pay $1,000 to win on Sunday and $1,500 to win on Monday. Top prize for the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods is $500 on Sunday and $750 on Monday.  Sunday’s IMCA STARS Mod Lite feature pays $500 to win with Yoshimura bonuses of $250, $150 and $100 paid to top three finishing eligible drivers as well. By Josh Reynolds STUART, Iowa (June 8) – Curtis Miller won his fourth Mach-1 Sport Compact outing in as many outings Friday at Stuart Speedway. Hunter Patrick led Miller and Dean Richards in the early going with Miller taking the lead on lap four. Ryan Brown went for a wild tumble in turn two, landing just outside of the concrete barriers. Brown was OK but his night was over. Once the cars came back alive it was Miller cruising to the win with Richards second, Patrick third, Eric Alexander fourth and Zak Sickles fifth. Brandon Pruitt continued his own streak, winning a third consecutive IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature at Stuart. Nick Roberts was scored first across the stripe every circuit in winning the IMCA Modified feature. Austin Luellen was fastest in the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod main and John Watson collected the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock checkers.
