JEFFERSON, S.D. (Aug. 11) – On a beautiful night in the Siouxland, it was the beautiful white number seven IMCA Modified of Jay Noteboom rolling into victory lane at Park Jefferson Speedway.
With his win, Noteboom tied Joe Kosiski at the top of the all-time win list at the Park Jefferson Speedway with 73 total checkers.
There was no denying Noteboom, who started sixth, but in just two laps flew by front row starters Jason Schneiders and Harvey Vande Weerd to fly to a lead he would never relinquish. Noteboom opened a huge lead that was up to 8.5 seconds at one point.
Greg Taylor was the J&J Fitting IMCA Stock Car winner and Andy Hoffman posted a convincing victory in the Z98 IMCA Hobby Stock main.
Cody Thompson outran hard charger Karl Brewer for the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod checkers. Andrew Harris and Kaytee DeVries had a spirited battle to wrap up the Sport Compact point season at Park Jeff. Andrew Harris, who was dominant all year, got past DeVries to pick up his sixth Mach-1 Sport Compact win of 2018.
On Park Jefferson Intern night, a huge shoutout went to 2018 intern Aaron Van Voorst, who coordinated the entire program of candy toss, car ride alongs for kids, bike giveaways and school supplies to thrill the crowd on season championship night.

The Duel sees the first Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier of the year at Park Jefferson Speedway for IMCA Modifieds. Paying $1,000 to win and $150 to start, the best of Siouxland’s IMCA Modifieds will be on hand. Joining them for their first IMCA points event are the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. Drivers are asked to register at Park Jefferson International Speedway on MyRacePass. Opening night features Sunday, June 23 at Worthington Speedway see the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds race for $1,500 to win and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $1,200 to win. The Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod feature pays $1,000 with $800 to win in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and $400 to win for the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts. For the third time in the young 2022 campaign, Miller was the victor in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock division. After capturing heat one to start his night, Miller and Florida native Joel Magee continued their heat battle in the feature. Miller held off Magee for the checkers, as Tyler Smith wound up third Cody Thompson gained his third Friesen Performance IMCA Modified victory during the Stockton Towing’s sponsored night of competition, with Shane DeMey crossing the line in second. Taylor Brown was a feature winner for the second time in the Mach-1 IMCA Sports Compacts. Jordan Runge was second. Karl Brewer knocked off Rusty Montagne, who was seeking a third Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod feature triumph.
