Yarie, Barkholtz go wire to wire at Shawano

SHAWANO, Wis. (July 31) – Marcus Yarie and Jordan Barkholtz led all twenty laps of their respec­tive features IMCA features during the midweek show at Shawano Speedway.

It was the third feature win of the season for each driver.

Yarie is a two-time track champion and the current point leader in the IMCA Modified division, and any time he puts his art skills to good use and draws a front row feature starting position one can bet that it’s going to be a long night for his competition.

Yarie led every lap of the feature as Wyatt Block, Lance Arneson and Jerry Wilinski battled hard behind him for position. In the end it was Yarie cruising to victory followed by Block, Arneson, Jerry Wilinski and Konnor Wilinski.

Barkholtz started outside the front row of the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod feature by virtue of the draw. As Barkholtz led, Lucas Lamberies and Kyle Raddant battled for second.

That battle allowed Barkholtz to speed away from the pack. As laps ticked off, it was all Barkholtz in front of the field. The best battle over the second half of the race was for fourth between Jay­den Schmidt and Jordan Bartz.

As the checkered flag waved it was Barkholtz winning followed by Lamberies, Raddant, Schmidt and Bartz.

Nolan tops IMCA Stocks, Teske scores SportMod win at Shawano

By Brandon Reichenberger SHAWANO, Wis. (July 1, 2023) – Mother Nature provided a beautiful night for racing at the legendary half mile on Tribute to Veterans night at Shawano Speedway. Tribute to Veterans is always a special night as the track honors our American heroes and 140 veterans were on hand for a special recognition and tribute at intermission organized by Mike’s Video, Trev’s Trailers and B&H Racing. Trent Nolan, Jeffery Teske and Jordan Bartz all left with bragging rights and a special Veterans Night trophy, as all three recorded a clean sweep on the evening winning both their heat and feature races. Dylan Sexton and Shawn Wagner led the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car field to green flag for a 20-lap feature. Wagner led early but had plenty of company from Dylan Stedje and Nolan, both of whom drove past on lap two. Nolan, Sobiesczyk, Schmidt are IMCA winners at Shawano

By Justin Zirngible.  SHAWANO, Wis. (May 7, 2022) – Three IMCA drivers raced to season-first wins at Shawano Speedway on Saturday night. The IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars took to the track for the first “A” main of the night and The Class Too Tough To Tame did not disappoint. The father-son duo of Vern and Dylan Stedjee started on the front row for the 20-lap main event. Vern Stedjee got the jump on the start and led the first 15 circuits. A late caution tightened the field as the high line was starting to come in. Shawano’s Trent Nolan would use that groove to gain the advantage after the restart and go on to take the checkered flag.  A rough start for the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods resulted in a time-shortened feature. Bartz pockets top payday at Shawano

(June 24, 2023) – Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds rolled out to race for $1,000 to win Saturday at Shawano Speedway and Jordan Bartz raced straight to victory lane to claim the check. Bartz utilized the momentum on the high side of the oval to grab the opening lap lead from her outside front row starting spot. Lucas Lamberies put on a show behind her, moving from eighth to fourth by lap three and then to third by lap four. A caution seven laps in slowed the pace and saw Bartz lead Marcus Yarie, Lamberies, Konnor Wilinski and Brekken Kleinschmidt back to green. As Yarie and Lamberies fell into a battle for second, Bartz looked to put some distance on the pair as they raced side-by-side. That breathing room was short-lived as Lamberies cleared Yarie on lap eight and put immediate pressure on the 12 of Bartz.
