URSS at Thayer County Thursday night for $1,000 to win

DESHLER, Neb. – The United Rebel Sprint Series makes its inaugural appearance at Thayer County Speedway in Deshler, Neb., on Thursday, with a top prize of $1,000 going to the winner of the Aug. 1 main event.

Zach Blurton currently leads the URSS point standings and will look for win number three on the season. Brian Herbert has had a consistent season thus far this season and is currently second in the standings.

Look for a very strong field to be on hand at Thayer County Speedway to battle atop the 3/8-mile oval.

Grandstand admission is $15 while all pit passes will be $30. Gates will open at 4 p.m. with race action slated for a 7 p.m. start time. More race information can be obtained by accessing the track’s official website www.thayercountyfair.com and their Facebook page, Thayer County Fair.

Good night for Knight ends with URSS checkers at 81

PARK CITY, Kan. (June 19) – The Drive to Zero POWRi United Rebel Sprint Series Presented by Mel Hambelton Ford Racing took to 81 Speedway on Saturday night and it was Tyler Knight cashing in the victor. Chad Salem and Jon Freeman set the pace for the 25-lap IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car feature. Tyler Knight took off with the early lead with Jordan Knight and Ty Williams following. Zach Blurton began his march forward within the first five laps advancing position on J.D. Johnson and Jon Freeman to move into fourth. The top three cars put some distance between one another until lapped traffic became a factor. Johnson and Freeman challenged each other for fifth, but it was Johnson pulling ahead. United Rebel Sprint Series heading back to Dodge City Raceway Park

DODGE CITY, Kan. – The Drive to Zero POWRi United Rebel Sprint Series presented by Mel Hambelton Ford Racing is slated to return to Dodge City Raceway Park this Saturday, June 12, for another duel with the DCRP Sprint Cars.  The IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car series last visited Dodge City Raceway Park on April 24, when Ty Williams captured the season opening victory. Hot laps are scheduled to begin atop the ⅜-mile semi-banked facility at 6:15 p.m., with racing at 7  p.m. The United Rebel Sprint Series partnered with Kansas’ Drive to Zero program to offer a $5,000 payday to the 2021 series champion. The Drive to Zero program was designed with one goal in mind, to reduce fatalities and serious injuries that occur on Kansas highways, targeting child passenger safety, impaired driving, texting, and seat belt violations. Williams wins night one at Wheatshocker Nationals

HAYS, Kan. (July 11) – The United Rebel Sprint Series Presented by Mel Hambelton Ford Rac­ing took on night one of the Wheatshocker Nationals at RPM Speedway Saturday night. A stacked 20-car field was in attendance and Ty Williams was the front-runner.   Shane Sundquist and J.D. Johnson lined up on the front row of the 25-lap IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car feature. Shane Sundquist took off with the early lead, but not without Koby Walters eager to grab the top position.  Walters took the top spot and Ty Williams was next to challenge Sundquist for second place. A rim-riding Williams and Walters battled for the lead until lap 15 when Williams claimed the top spot. Walters hung on to the second position until the last lap when hard-charger Jason Martin nipped him at the line to take the runner-up position with Walters settling for third.   Feature results – 1.
