$1,500 is top IMCA Modified check Saturday at Perris

PERRIS, Calif. – IMCA Modifieds race for $1,500 to win and a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berth at Perris Auto Speedway this Saturday, July 21.

The 30-lapper awards IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Larry Shaw Race Cars Western Region, California State and track points.

As well as the increased purse, numerous contingencies have been added to the night:

Corona-based Eibach Springs will award a $125 gift certificate to the driver who finishes one position out of the redraw spot in each heat race.  The certificates will allow the holder to get one Eibach platinum (premium) spring or two Eibach standard springs.

“Eibach is really excited to be a partner with our favorite local dirt track once again,” Eibach Sales Manager David Cardey said.  “Don Kazarian and crew have done a great job growing the car counts at Perris the past few years so it only makes sense for us to try and help their efforts. We wanted to support some of the teams that may not have a front running budget, so we will be giving out certifi­cates to the first driver not finishing in a redraw spot in each heat race.”

Given by heat race sponsors will be $100 of Sunoco Fuel from Lake Mathews Feed & Ranch Supplies; a $100 gift certificate good toward any machine work from Wayne’s Engine Rebuilders; and a $50 gift certificate and a pack of Racing Optics Tear Offs from Racing Plus Inc. (another sponsor has been lined up in the event a fourth heat is held). The highest finishing open motor driver receives a $250 gift certificate from CP Carrillo; if an open motor wins the main event, CP Carrillo will give the winner a set of pistons.The $100 longest tow award is from Racer Radio.

Opening night for IMCA Modifieds is Saturday at Perris

By Scott Daloisio  PERRIS, Calif. – Perris Auto Speedway’s historic 25th anniversary season will continue this Saturday, March 14, when the IMCA Modifieds make their 2020 debut. $6,000 up for grabs for IMCA Modified winners at upcoming Perris events

By Scott Daloisio PERRIS, Calif. – Due to the love of racing from an anonymous donor, the next six weeks could be very lucrative for IMCA Modified racers at Perris Auto Speedway. From this Saturday night, June 12, through July 24th, there will be four PASSCAR/IMCA races at the famous Riverside County half-mile clay oval. If a single driver wins all four of the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying IMCA Modified mains, that driver would take home $6,000. Perris fans salute Morris following Saturday IMCA Modified win

PERRIS, Calif, (May 28, 2022) – Kyle Morris took the lead on lap nine and led the remaining 11 circuits to claim the $1,000 to win Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main event during Perris Auto Speedway’s Salute to Indy Saturday night.  April winner Matt Hicks and Randy Thornell rounded out the top three. “You need to have interviews with me more often about how much I don’t win because obviously, it’s good luck,” the happy winner, who was resplendent in red suspenders, joked to infield announcer Chris Holt.  “Every time I saw a car down there (running on the bottom) I was holding my breath.  It has been so long since I have been up here, I tried to keep that out of my mind.” The IMCA Modifieds will be back at Perris Auto Speedway on June 25 for the first annual Bubby Jones/Ray Sheetz Memorial.
