Miller’s dominance continues at Stuart

STUART, Iowa (June 8) – Curtis Miller won his fourth Mach-1 Sport Compact outing in as many outings Friday at Stuart Speedway.

Hunter Patrick led Miller and Dean Richards in the early going with Miller taking the lead on lap four. Ryan Brown went for a wild tumble in turn two, landing just outside of the concrete barriers. Brown was OK but his night was over.

Once the cars came back alive it was Miller cruising to the win with Richards second, Patrick third, Eric Alexander fourth and Zak Sickles fifth.

Brandon Pruitt continued his own streak, winning a third consecutive IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature at Stuart. Nick Roberts was scored first across the stripe every circuit in winning the IMCA Modified feature.

Austin Luellen was fastest in the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod main and John Watson collected the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock checkers.

The Monday Night Spotlight event on July 2 will pay the IMCA Modifieds $1,000 to win their Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier, along with a $1,000 to win Dirt Dominator after the features are over.

Stock Cars and Northern SportMods will race for $700 to win. The program will be broadcast by IMCA.TV.

Cochrun wins Clint Walrod Memorial

By Josh Reynolds STUART, Iowa (July 21) – One hundred and twenty-nine race cars came to the Clint Walrod Memorial at Stuart Speedway. Feature winners for the night were Kaden Cochrun, Lucas Daniels, Izac Mallicoat, Jeremy Gettler, Dylan Nelson, Tim Ward and Braxton Wallace.  IMCA STARS Mod Lites were first up with Mike Zemo Jr. and Nathan Wolfe on the front row. Kaden Cochrun shot into the lead on lap one and through a couple of cautions it was all the 23K as he took the feature win. Josh May made it interesting but came up second with Zemo third, Dillon Raffurty fourth and Jon Padilla fifth. Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods came out with Shane Paris and Izac Mallicoat leading the field to green. Mallicoat powered into the lead until the caution flew on lap six. Brayton Carter used the restart to move into second but that was as close as he’d come as Mallicoat went on to the feature win. Carter continues hot streak at Stuart

By Josh Reynolds STUART, Iowa (July 29) – Brayton Carter was back in victory lane Wednesday night at Stuart Speedway. Dusty Masolini set the pace for the first half of the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod feature. Carter had to work for it and on lap 12 he cashed in to take the lead and go on to the win. Masolini held on for second.  Zack Rawlins led the first couple laps of the IMCA Modified main until Tom Berry Jr. blasted his way from 10th to the lead on lap four. A caution on lap 14 gave the rest of the field a chance, but there was no catching the 11X car as Berry went on to the win.  Dallon Murty made it interesting on the top side but Todd VanEaton was too strong on the bottom and went on to the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car win. Whole Hog Hat Trick for Dallon Murty

By Josh Reynolds STUART, Iowa (May 29, 2023) –The finale of the third annual Whole Hog 50 sponsored by VanEaton Pork ran Monday at Karl Chevrolet of Stuart International Speedway. Winners for the night were Kolby Sabin, Dallon Murty, Calvin Dhondt and Mitchell Morris. Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts kicked off the features and it was Anthony Clark leading through lap five. Sabin found a quicker line to take over the next time around and he cruised to the win. Clark finished second with Elijah Hoyt third, Terry Bickford fourth and Zander Steiner fifth. The next race would be the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and the third running of the Whole Hog 50. A three-wide start and 32 hungry racers set the stage for an exciting 50-lap race, and as they took the green flag everyone in attendance was on their toes.
