Roth is awesome at Dawson County

By Kelly Ninas LEXINGTON, Neb. (Aug. 5) – Grabbing an early lead and never looking back, Anthony Roth scored another IMCA Modified feature victory Sunday at Dawson County Raceway. Roth had started from the inside of the third row. Working the bugs out of a new ride, David Murray Jr. found the groove that worked best during the second half of the feature event to earn a podium finish in second place overall. Recovering from an early incident, Chuck Stryker was third. Knocking on the door of 500 career wins in the class, Mike Nichols paced the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car main while Luke Wassom’s fast start ultimately put him in victory lane at the conclusion of the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature. Working his magic during the final laps, Jacob Olmstead drove to the winner’s circle after winning the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod headliner.

(May 19) – Racing action was hot and heavy on opening night Sunday at Dawson County Raceway, in front of a jam-packed house.  Looking to start the season off on the right foot at Lexington were a large contingent of competitors hop­ing to drive their way to Coca Cola Victory Lane. The foursome of Jordan Grabouski, David Johnson, Brax­ton Berry and Ramsey Meyer were victors.  Grabouski led much of the way and finished strong in the Holbein Lawn Service/K Lawn IMCA Modified feature. The defending national champion worked his magic on the top groove to get into the lead on the 12th lap and never looked back. In one of the most heated and action-packed features of the night, it was Grabouski of Beatrice earning the Levanders Body Shop IMCA Stock Car victory. (Aug. 2) – Hitting the dirt running was an understatement when describing the outstanding show seen by the jam-packed house of avid racing fans at Dawson County Raceway Sunday evening.  Getting their season started off on the right foot by punching their ticket to the Chesterman’s Coca-Cola Winners Circle were the quintet of Dakota Sproul, Robbie Thome, Mike Nichols, Zach Olmstead and Rileigh Flohrs.  Showing his cards early paid off for Sproul as he scored the IMCA Modified victory. Sproul started the on the inside of the second row, made the move into the lead on the fourth lap and never looked back. Leading the laps that mattered the most, Thome was the victor in the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod feature. Thome got to third early on and was up to second when leader Brett Berry slowed and relinquished the lead.
