DAVENPORT, Iowa (May 4) – Justin Kay raced from the back of the field to the checkers Friday at Davenport Speedway.
Six Eriksen Chevrolet IMCA Modifieds, one of them six driven by Kay, were involved in a first-lap incident. Kay restarted at the tail of the field but several cautions later, took the lead after a lap 12 restart. Kay led the remainder of the race to take victory.
Kurt Kile worked his way to a second place finish.
The Hawkeye Auto IMCA Northern SportMods saw a number of early yellows, however there would be no pass for the lead. Keith Blum started on the front row and survived all the restarts to score the victory. Jared Waterman finished second.
