Magers Masters Modifieds in Redwood Opener

(May 11, 2025) — Dalton Magers fended off a fierce late-race challenge from multi-time state champion Brandon Beckendorf to capture the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified season opener at Redwood Speedway. The Redwood Falls racer, a three-time reigning Murray County Speedway track champion, held his line and kept Beckendorf at bay over the final circuits to secure his first win of 2025 in the Razor Chassis North Central Region. Beckendorf, a five-time Minnesota State and four-time Redwood track champion, settled for second after pressuring Magers for the top spot with three laps to go. Defending track champion Dan Menk completed the podium in third. Speckman Shines in Stock Car Showdown Matt Speckman used the high side to his advantage in the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature, driving around Ken Tietz on lap three to take the lead. Congratulations keep coming following Domeier’s first IMCA Hobby Stock win

REDWOOD FALLS, Minn. (Aug. 4, 2024) – There was no shortage of encouragement to make the switch when Tyler Domeier was thinking about getting into an IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock. Just six starts into his career in the class, the congratulations started coming in following his first feature win. Domeier won the Sunday night main event at Redwood Speedway, wheeling a 2008 Terminator to the checkers ahead of Tayte Harazin and Cory Probst. “I started on a really fast line. I started front row outside so I started on the preferred line. I just stuck to that line and I just needed to race clean,” the hometown speedster said. “I knew if I could keep it straight and clean I’d probably be fast enough to hold off Harazin and Probst on the restart. Redwood Stock Car checkers are first for Rogotzke

REDWOOD FALLS, Minn. (July 21, 2024) – After running second to younger brother Jordan in the evening’s Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main event, Jesse Rogotzke was bound and determined to get a win during the Redwood County Fair Race himself. He did just that, taking his first ever IMCA Sunoco Stock Car checkers in the Sunday night finale at Redwood Speedway. “After he won, I figured it was my turn to get a win,” reasoned Rogotzke, a Modified veteran now with 15 sanctioned Stock Car starts under his belt this season. “It felt great,” he added. “Our goal was to get one win this season and now we’ve done that. “Hopefully we can get some more.” Rogotzke had drawn the pole start and protected the bottom line in leading the 15-lapper start to finish. Tietz shakes off rust at Redwood for first IMCA Stock Car win since 2016

REDWOOD FALLS, Minn. (June 16, 2024) – Eight years after his last IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature win, Ken Tietz raced his way back to victory lane. Tietz reeled in and then outran Jesse Rogotzke for the Sunday night checkers at Redwood Speedway. His career 61st win in The Class Too Tough To Tame was also his first since July of 2016, after a heat race crash left him with a multitude of broken bones along with a destroyed car. “I’m not going to lie, it feels good to win. REDWOOD FALLS, Minn. (Jan. 23, 2024) – What Velvet Dostal called “a perfect opportunity” brings Sunday night IMCA racing back to Minnesota’s Redwood Speedway. The upcoming 2024 Speedway Motors Weekly Racing season for Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods and Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts runs from June 2 through Sept. 29. IMCA Modified winner earns $1,000 at Redwood Speedway opener

REDWOOD FALLS, Minn. – A check for $1,000 and a spot on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot go to the winner of Redwood Speedway’s IMCA Modified opening night event on Sunday, May 27. There is no entry fee and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts complete the evening card. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, Minnesota State and track points will be awarded. Pit gates at Redwood Falls open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. Racing follows 6:30 p.m. hot laps. Grandstand admission is $12 for adults, $8 for students ages 10-17 and free for kids nine and under. Pit passes are $30.
