REDWOOD FALLS, Minn. (July 21, 2024) – After running second to younger brother Jordan in the evening’s Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main event, Jesse Rogotzke was bound and determined to get a win during the Redwood County Fair Race himself.
He did just that, taking his first ever IMCA Sunoco Stock Car checkers in the Sunday night finale at Redwood Speedway.
“After he won, I figured it was my turn to get a win,” reasoned Rogotzke, a Modified veteran now with 15 sanctioned Stock Car starts under his belt this season.
“It felt great,” he added. “Our goal was to get one win this season and now we’ve done that.
“Hopefully we can get some more.”
Rogotzke had drawn the pole start and protected the bottom line in leading the 15-lapper start to finish. He’s in a 2019 B & B ride he’d purchased turnkey last year. Gary Mattison and Ken Tietz rounded out the top three.
Other IMCA winners during the evening were ninth starting Cory Probst in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Eric Larson in the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods.
