Season Opener at Phillips County Raceway Kicks Off BST Great Plains IMCA and CAT Tours

(May 28, 2025) — The engines will roar and the dirt will fly this weekend as Phillips County Raceway fires up the 2025 season with a massive doubleheader that launches both the BST Great Plains IMCA Tour and the Colorado Alliance Tour (CAT). With no other races within 300 miles, all eyes will be on Holyoke, Colorado, for what promises to be one of the most exciting season openers in the region. IMCA Modifieds chase $1,000 top check Sunday at Phillips County

HOLYOKE, Colo. (May 25, 2022) – A $1,000 to win feature for Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds headlines the Sunday, May 29 program at Phillips County Raceway.  The winner becomes eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. Also on the evening’s card are IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Friesen Performance INCA Northern SportMods and Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts. All divisions are draw/redraw and IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, KMJ Performance State, track and Colorado Alliance Tour points will be awarded.  Gates open at 1 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 3 p.m. Hot laps follow the 4 p.m. drivers’ meeting and racing is at 5 p.m. Pit passes are $30. Pre-discounted spectator admission is $20 for adults, $15 for military and seniors, $10 for kids and five and under are free. Phillips County getting down ‘n dirty in 2022

HOLYOKE, Colo. – 2022 gets down and dirty at Phillips County Raceway in Holyoke, Colo., as BST Promotions presents your 2022 PCR race season. Phillips County Raceway breaks the front for our season-opening Spring Fling on April 16 featuring the first show of the season for IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Car, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, IMCA Northern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts.  Memorial Day Weekend will be the first race of the season for the Colorado Alliance Tour as seven divisions battle in a winner takes all tour of Colorado’s best race tracks. July is action-packed with four dates, including a doubleheader July 8 and 9. Night two is Fan Appreciation Night with the Mid-Season Showdown on July 23 and the Phillips County Fair on July 29.  In August, PCR will host the CAT Crown as the CAT Tour comes to a close and crowns its champion on Aug. 21. Phillips County opens with weekend doubleheader

HOLYOKE, Colo. – A season-opening doubleheader sees five IMCA divisions in action this weekend at Phillips County Raceway. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts are on Saturday, April 17 and Sunday, April 18 race programs at Holyoke. Both shows are draw/redraw. Racing starts at 3 p.m. both days. The weekend twinbill also kicks off the Colorado Alliance Tour and is the second leg of the Tri-State Tour. Grandstand admission is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors ages 65 and over, $ for youth ages 6-12 and free for kids five and under.

Phillips County Raceway primed for opening weekend, IMCA.TV broadcast

HOLYOKE, Colo. – A weekend twinbill starts the season for five IMCA divisions this Friday and Saturday, May 29 and 30 at Phillips County Raceway.  IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts run both nights at Holyoke for IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly racing National, regional, state and track, as well as Tri-State Tour and Colorado Alliance Tour points.  Both race programs start at 7 p.m. and promoter Joe Bellm explained that a “10 and 10” rule would be in effect in both the grandstands and pit area while maintaining social distancing: Spectators must not sit in groups of more than 10 and no more than 10 people should be with each car in the pits.  Masks are recommended but not required. Both programs will be broadcast by IMCA.TV.  Concessions will be available on both sides of the track.

IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars headline Saturday show at Phillips County

HOLYOKE, Colo. – Contrary to other reports, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars will race Saturday, May 12 at Phillips County Raceway in Holyoke. All series, state and IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National points will be awarded. The previous reported June 2 rainout date was incorrect. RaceSaver Sprints will race for $1,000 to win and a minimum of $200 to start and no license other than IMCA RaceSaver is required to compete in the Sprint Series of Colorado kickoff. Other sanctioned divisions at Holyoke will be the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts. Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors 65 and over, military and First Responders with ID, $5 for kids ages 6-12 and free for five and under.
