NY-Penn IMCA Modified Series returns to Penn Can for Sunday show

SUSQUEHANNA, Pa. – Round five of the NY-Penn Series takes touring IMCA Modifieds back to Penn Can Speedway this Sunday for a $1,000 to win, minimum $100 to start main event. Brad Sites brings both a two-race winning streak and the series points lead to Susquehanna for the Aug. 15 event, which makes the winner eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational during the upcoming IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Dirt Works Eastern Region and KMJ Performance State points, as well as special series points, will be awarded. Gates open at noon for series competitors. NY-Penn IMCA Modified Series kicking off with Sean Lias Memorial

By Evan Canfield SUSQUEHANNA, Pa. – After a long off-season and months of planning, the newly-formed NY-Penn IMCA Modified Series is ready to set sail on the 2021 season. With a full schedule set to see eight events at five different tracks, drivers are eager to begin the inaugural season of the series. With nearly 30 cars registered for the year, large car counts and great racing are on the horizon for a big year. Kicking off this year’s campaign will be one of the biggest races of the season, the Sean Lias Memorial at Susquehanna, Pa.’s Penn Can Speedway slated for May 30. This event will pay homage to one of Pennsylvania’s own who was a multi-time champion across tracks and the Northeast region under the IMCA sanction in the 1990’s and 2000’s, scoring 231 feature wins in his career. Midwest Madness Tour Returns for 8th Annual Run Through the Heartland from June 28-July 2

(May 14, 2026) — The Midwest Madness Tour is set to thunder back into action for its eighth annual edition, bringing five straight nights of Speedway Motors IMCA Weekly Racing competition to tracks across Minnesota, Iowa, and South Dakota from June 28 through July 2. The tour opens Sunday, June 28 at Worthington Speedway in Worthington, Minnesota before heading to Clay County Fair Speedway in Spencer, Iowa on Monday, June 29. Park Jefferson Speedway in Jefferson, South Dakota hosts round three on Tuesday, June 30, followed by Buena Vista Raceway in Alta, Iowa on Wednesday, July 1. All-Star Shootout Ready to Fire Off May 21-24 Across Texas and Oklahoma

Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds, Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars, and Smiley’s Racing Products IMCA Southern SportMods will again headline the tour. Biggs Survives Wild Southern Oregon SportMod Main for $1,000 Victory

(May 9, 2026) — In front of a standing-room-only crowd, Cory Biggs overcame adversity before and during Saturday night’s Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod feature at Southern Oregon Speedway, charging from 10th to win the $1,000-to-win main event. Because of the massive standing room only turnout, Southern Oregon Speedway officials boosted the purses for both the IMCA SportMods and Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds. After getting his car destroyed the previous week, the Yreka, California driver climbed behind the wheel of Ethan Killingsworth’s No. 7M machine and spent the entire week helping prepare the car for competition. Isaac Sanders led the opening two laps before Jorddon Braaten took command on lap three.
