Weedon Memorial for IMCA Modifieds on Friday card at Davenport 

DAVENPORT, Iowa (Aug. 11, 2022) – A $1,000 to win feature for Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds is on the card this Friday night, at Davenport Speedway’s Ron Weedon Memorial.  The Modified portion of the Aug. 12 program is draw/redraw and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility is at stake as well. IMCA Sunoco Late Models and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods are also on the program. Pit gates open at 4 p.m., the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. and hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. with racing to follow.  Pit passes are $35 for adults, $20 for kids ages 3-12 and free for two and under. Davenport opens April 22 with $1,000 to win features for IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Late Models

The Modified winner becomes eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational; Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods are also on the card as pit gates open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. with racing to follow.  Pits passes are $30. Grandstand admission is adults $12, kids ages 5-10 $5 and four and under free.

IMCA Modifieds, Northern SportMods Brawl this weekend at Davenport

DAVENPORT, Iowa (March 22, 2022) – IMCA Modifieds race for a cool $1,000 to win on night two of Davenport Speedway’s March 25 and 26 Thaw Brawl.  Modifieds and IMCA Northern SportMods are on both cards, with Friday and Saturday SportMod features paying $500 to win. The Saturday Modified winner also becomes Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligible. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Razor Chassis North Central Region and KMJ Performance State points will be awarded each night. There is no entry fee and pit passes are $40.  Pit gates open at 3 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. Hot laps start at approximately 6:30 p.m. with racing to follow. IMCA Modifieds, Northern SportMods join Weekend Bash card at Davenport

DAVENPORT, Iowa – A pair of $1,000 to win features for IMCA Modifieds are on Thursday, Aug. 26 and Friday, Aug. 27 Weekend Bash race programs at Davenport Speedway. Winners of both events become eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational, with a minimum of $100 paid to start and $75 tow.  Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods also race both nights, for $750 to win, a minimum of $75 to start and $50 tow.  IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Side Biter Chassis North Central Region and KMJ Performance State points will be awarded both nights. Pit gates open at 2 p.m. and the grandstand at 5 p.m. with hot laps at 6:30 p.m. and racing to follow.  Pit passes are $35 on Thursday and $40 on Friday. Adult grandstand admission is $30 on Thursday and $35 on Friday. Kids ages 12 and under get in free.

$250 Sunoco bonus Friday night in Davenport

VINTON, Iowa – Extra money is on the line for the potential winner of the main event for IMCA Sunoco Late Models this Friday at Davenport. The next installment of the $250 Sunoco Race Fuels bonus will be paid to the August 13 Late Model winner at Davenport Speedway.  Sunoco bonuses will be presented at IMCA Late Model sanctioned tracks in 2021. Drivers are eligible for one bonus during the racing season. Winners so far this year have been Matt Ryan at 300 Raceway in Farley, followed by Sean Johnson at Independence Motor Speedway, Andy Eckrich at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Ron Klein at Dubuque Speedway, Kyle Prauner at U.S. 30 Speedway in Columbus, Chase Osborne at Boone County Raceway in Albion, Brock Carlson at Off Road Speedway in Norfolk, and most recently to Dave Eckrich last Friday night at Lee County Speedway in Donnellson.  IMCA will announce mid-week before the dates bonuses are to be awarded at each track.

Nezworski, Diercks top rich Davenport IMCA features

By Mike McGuire  DAVENPORT, Iowa (April 23, 2021) – Friday was Koehler Electric Season Opener at the Davenport Speed­way. With extra money on the line in two divisions, the competition was intense. The IMCA Sunoco Late Models provided the closest finish of the evening. Their 25-lap feature started with Andy Nezworski grabbing the early lead from the pole. Nezworski built up a lead until the caution flags started to fly on lap eight. Chuck Hanna used the race’s final restart to propel himself up to second and then used the high side to reel in Nezworski. As the leaders encountered lapped traffic, Hanna drew alongside the leader. At the checkers, it was Nezworski by mere inches over Hanna. Justin Kay fended off Matt Ryan for a third place finish. Fred Remley was a distant fifth. Spencer Diercks led flag-to-flag in the IMCA Modified main. Diercks started on the outside pole and went directly to the top of the racetrack. DAVENPORT, Iowa – Davenport Speedway combines two celebrations on a single night of racing, marking the 100th year since the track opened with the 15th annual Ronnie Weedon Memorial. IMCA Modifieds race for $1,500 to win and a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berth their draw/redraw show. $250 Sunoco bonuses for winners at Farley, Davenport and Marshalltown this week

VINTON, Iowa – The paydays get even better this week for a trio of IMCA Sunoco Late Model feature winners.  It begins Wednesday evening at 300 Raceway in Farley as the IMCA Late Model winner pockets an extra $250 courtesy of Sunoco Race Fuels. Thursday night the bonus moves to Davenport Speedway, and the night begins with last Friday’s make-up feature. Then the pot gets richer as the next $250 Sunoco Race Fuels bonus of the season will be paid to the scheduled June 25 IMCA Late Model winner. The final bonus of the week will be presented Friday night at Marshalltown Speedway. Double Late Model features are also on the card at Marshalltown, with the $250 Sunoco bonus presented to the night’s second feature winner – the evening’s originally scheduled feature.
