
Asbe earns first career feature win at I-35
By Greg Grabianowski MASON CITY, Iowa (July 20) – Sunday was a night to remember for Jason Asbe as he captured his first-ever feature win in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock division at I-35 Speedway. Not only had Asbe not finished in the top four in a feature this year, his best finish this summer was 11th and last week, he rolled his No. 9 car at the track. On Sunday, however, with duct tape holding his hood down and hardly a sponsor dotting his rig, he pulled his car into victory lane after the win. It was also a memorable weekend for Kyle Germundson. The Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod driver got married Saturday night and reversed his racing fortune by winning his first feature of the season at I-35 on Sunday.
