Integra continues unique awards program for Deery Series, IMCA Late Model drivers

COOPERSVILLE, Mich. – Drivers racing for national IMCA Late Model and Deery Brothers Summer Series points contend for unique awards given by Integra Racing Shocks. Drivers with the top two combined national and series point totals each receive $350 product certificates from the Coopersville, Mich., manufacturer and eight-year IMCA sponsor. Marshalltown postpones IMCA World Nationals

Bowers gasses up, sweeps Sunflower Classic Weekend

HAYS, Kan. (March 24-25) – The guy who ran out of gas on the way to the track for practice was the same IMCA Modified driver who ran away from everybody both nights of RPM Speedway’s Sunflower Classic. Steven Bowers Jr. topped $1,000 to win features Friday and Saturday at Hays and afterwards could laugh about the needle hitting empty on Thursday, half a mile from the gas station in Junction City. “I thought that night might have thrown a curve ball into the weekend. It was not a good way to start,” said Bowers, who made it to the pumps after friend who’d been waiting at the station delivered a can of gas. “But it turned out awesome. LUBBOCK, Texas – Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center marks a milestone in 2017, its fifth consecutive season as title sponsor of IMCA’s Southern SportMod division. Tri-State reschedules Kegger, IMCA Modifieds chase $1,500 top check

POCOLA, Okla. (March 27) – IMCA Modifieds race for $1,500 to win this weekend, at Tri-State Speedway’s rescheduled Cecil Harlan Memorial Kegger. Practice is from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, March 30. Qualifying begins Friday, March 31 with last-chance races and the feature on Saturday, April 1. The 2017 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier pays a minimum of $200 to start. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Jet Racing Central Region and Allstar State points, but no local track points, will be awarded. Koch utilizes high side to capture Sprint Series of Oklahoma opener

(March 25) – The Sprint Series of Oklahoma IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car Series presented by Smiley’s Racing Products opened its 2017 race season Saturday night and when all said and done it was Chad Koch leading the final five laps to capture his first-ever victory with the series at Southern Oklahoma Speedway. This event was co-sanctioned with the Sprint Series of Texas IMCA Racesaver Sprint Series. The fourth starting Koch quickly moved into the runner-up position, utilizing the top of the oval while leader Jake Martens worked the bottom. The leader began approaching slower cars on lap 11. Martens built a full-stretch lead that was erased by the final caution of the night, on lap 13. Koch got a run around Martens to take the lead on the next circuit.
