WEST LIBERTY, Iowa – Following two consecutive weeks of rainouts, West Liberty Raceway is set to host the Ideal Ready Mix Tri-Track Challenge. Winner of the Saturday, June 3 IMCA Late Model feature will walk away with a cool $2,000.
The night’s racing action will also be the Jennifer Brauns Massey Memorial. Jennifer lost her battle with cancer this past December, Jennifer’s brother Jon Brauns and nephew Jonathan are dedicating this racing season to her memory and are racing to create awareness of ovarian cancer.
In addition to the IMCA Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Mach-1 Sport Compacts will all be in action. During Intermission, kids in attendance will take part in the world’s largest candy scramble.
The West Liberty Raceway half-mile clay track is located on the Muscatine County Fairgrounds. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. Saturday with racing at 7 p.m.
