NY-PENN IMCA Modified Series Opens Fifth Season at The Hill Speedway with June 6 Special

By Ben Deatherage MONROETON, Pa. (May 29, 2025) — The 2025 NY-PENN IMCA Modified Series roars back to life Friday, June 6, with its highly anticipated season opener at The Hill Speedway. The feature event pays $750 to win and $100 to start, launching the fifth season of competition for one of the premier tours in the DeVilbiss Racing Eastern Region. The event is presented by Cuz Excavating, Aggrock, and Griffin Motor Company of Canton. The tour has quickly earned a reputation for showcasing some of the Northeast’s toughest and most talented IMCA Modified drivers. As the field assembles for the first race of the new campaign, excitement builds not only for the prize money on the line but also for a full season of competitive racing at some of the region’s top dirt tracks. Series officials also announced several key sponsor-supported awards that will be up for grabs throughout the 2025 season. The S&S Custom Autobody Hard Charger Award, backed by Steve Williams, will give $50 to the driver who advances the most positions during [Read More]

Carter Claims Whole Hog 50 Stock Car Victory at Stuart

By Ben Deatherage STUART, Iowa (May 25, 2025) — Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars headlined the Sunday night program at Stuart Speedway with the fifth running of the Whole Hog 50, and for the first time in event history, someone not named Dallon Murty was crowned king. Cayden Carter, piloting the Michael Peterson-owned no. 1X, claimed the 50-lap feature after taking the lead on a lap seven restart and never giving it up. The Oskaloosa driver dealt with multiple cautions and navigated thick traffic to build a comfortable lead en route to his third EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region win of the year, each coming at a different track in Iowa. Carter started fourth and sealed the deal by kissing a real live hog in victory lane. Two-time defending track champion Buck Schafroth rallied into second and began to track down Carter during a long green-flag stretch around the race’s midpoint, but the lap 25 caution gave Carter clean air once again. Brad Derry, who led the first few laps before Carter took over, managed to hold [Read More]

By Suzan McCoy HOLYOKE, Col. (May 28, 2025) — The engines will roar and the dirt will fly this weekend as Phillips County Raceway fires up the 2025 season with a massive doubleheader that launches both the BST Great Plains IMCA Tour and the Colorado Alliance Tour (CAT). With no other races within 300 miles, all eyes will be on Holyoke, Colorado, for what promises to be one of the most exciting season openers in the region. The action begins Saturday, May 31, at 6, and continues into Sunday, June 1, at 3, packing the weekend with high-octane battles across Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars, Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMods, Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks, and Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts. “This is more than just another race weekend, it’s a statement,” said series promoter Joe Bellm of BST Promotions. “When you kick off two premier tours at one of the most exciting and fastest tracks in Colorado, and there’s no other competition for hundreds of miles, you know it’s going to be good times with good people.” Both tours bring the drivers more money [Read More]
