Racing canceled for June 5 at U.S. 36, Bud Shootout postponed to June 19

OSBORN, Mo. – Due to overnight rains both Wednesday and Thursday night, track officials have canceled racing for June 5 at U.S. 36 Raceway. The Bud Shootout is postponed to June 19. The property and track is too wet and with the recently reworked track surface officials want to continue to strive for a smooth racing surface for both drivers and fans. The Bud Shootout on June 19 will feature the Sprint Series of Nebraska. The IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars will also be in action with the Doyle Lance Remembrance Stock Car Race. Other classes will be announced at a later date. Up next at U.S. 36 Raceway is a return to the weekly championship chase, and the racing on Friday, June 12 will feature the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods.

Razor Chassis returns for seventh season as IMCA South Central Region title sponsor

PLATTE CENTER, Neb. – The chassis builder that helps build champions continues its title sponsorship of IMCA’s South Central Region for Modifieds for a seventh consecutive season. Razor Chassis again provides a portion of the $6,000 point fund to be paid to top 10 South Central Region competitors. The regional champion earns $2,500. The runner-up gets $1,250 with $625 for third, $325 for fourth, $300 for fifth and $200 for sixth through 10th. The South Central Region includes tracks in Texas and southern New Mexico. Drivers in the region are required to display two Razor decals on their race car to be eligible for point fund shares. The 2020 season is also the seventh of IMCA sponsorship for the Platte Center, Neb., builder and high performance parts retailer. Martini Charges to SportMod Victory in North Central Speedway Season Opener

(Apr. 26, 2025) — North Central Speedway launched its 2025 season with a thrilling night of Speedway Motors IMCA Weekly racing, headlined by Bud Martini’s remarkable comeback in the Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMods feature. Starting from the 10th position, Martini swiftly moved into the top three by lap four. However, contact with second-place T.J. Wyman in turn one brought out a caution and sent Martini to the rear of the field. Undeterred, he methodically worked his way back through the pack. A pivotal moment occurred with six laps remaining when leader Tim Bergerson spun, collecting Wyman and Jake Kierstad. This incident allowed Martini to re-enter the top five. Westergard Prevails Late in Skagit Season Opener

(Apr. 26, 2025) — Jeff Westergard kicked off the 2025 Friesen Performance IMCA Modified campaign at Skagit Speedway in style, overcoming early traffic and late-race pressure to earn his first Shaw Race Cars Western Region victory of the season. Adam Holtrop jumped to the early lead in the 25-lap main event before a flurry of mid-pack battles began to unfold. On a restart, Vancouver Island’s Geoff Morris, the 2023 Skagit Speedway track champion, powered into second before being shuffled back by James Bundy and Westergard. Bundy closed on Holtrop before a lap eight caution slowed the field. On the ensuing restart, Morris flipped in a multi-car tangle in turn four, bringing out the red flag. Westergard capitalized on the next restart, moving into second and then methodically pressuring Holtrop over several laps.
