IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts will be featured on May 14, June 25, July 16, Aug. 20 and Sept. 3 programs.  Co-promoters Joseph Herskowitz Jr. and Nick Kane have traveled across the area, with stops in Colorado and Nebraska, distributing schedules to boost car counts and spectator attendance in their first year at the northwest Kansas venue. “We know it’s going to take some work to get drivers and that you have to have cars to get the fans,” explained Herskowitz. “We are going to keep things simple this year. If we can bring in the cars, we will add three to five events next year, maybe including a two-day special.”  The WaKeeney native grew up crewing for his father and raced a bomber at area tracks including Colby, Goodland and Stockton.  “Racing has always been in my blood.
