
Foulger is double winner at Antioch’s Bowers Memorial West Coast Nationals
By Candice Martin ANTIOCH, Calif. (Oct. 1, 2022) – Troy Foulger made two trips to victory lane on an emotional Saturday night at Antioch Speedway. The Oakley driver topped the $3,000 to win 49-lap Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main event at Antioch’s Bill Bowers Memorial West Coast Nationals, driving the 2020 GRT Chassis owned by Bowers’ son. Earlier in the evening, Foulger had won the $1,200 prize in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature, in a B & B Racing Chassis ride powered by a Billy Bowers-built engine. Foulger had a front row start for the Modified headliner and took the early lead. Brian Cass held the second spot until Austin Burke gained the position on lap seven. Burke surrendered second to Nebraskan Jacob Hobscheidt on lap 35. The 2020 race winner went low in turn four on lap 44 to take the lead.
