Thunder on the Hill IMCA Modified features pay $2,000 to win

MAYETTA, Kan. – A pair of $2,000 to win Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying features are on the ticket for Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds at Thunder Hill Speedway’s Friday and Saturday, Oct. 9 and 10 Thunder on the Hill. A minimum of $200 will be paid to start each night. Purses will be based on minimum 20-car fields. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars race for $700 to win and $150 to start each night, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods for $700 to win and $150 to start, and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $400 to win and $75 to start. Six states represented by IMCA’s 2015 national champions

VINTON, Iowa (Oct. 2) – Five first-time kings join Chris Abelson and Nate Coopman in a diverse group of 2015 IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing national champions. Abelson adds the Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified crown to his 2007 Northern SportMod crown and becomes just the sixth driver to win national titles in different divisions. Coopman paced the Mach-1 Sport Compact standings for the second straight season and the third time in his career. BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Two $1,500 to win features for Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds are on tap at Bakersfield Speedway’s 30th annual Budweiser Nationals Friday and Saturday, Oct. 9 and 10. Both 40-lap features are 2016 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying events and pay a minimum of $100 to start. Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods begin qualifying on Friday. BEATRICE, Neb. (Sept. 25-26) – Another Friday feature brought out the best in Jordan Grabouski while Dylan Smith was best in the Saturday September Fest show at Beatrice Speedway. Grabouski topped the opening night feature for Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds, earning his eighth win this season at Beatrice, while Smith prevailed in a Saturday show that ran green to checkered.
