New season at Kennedale opens with Spring Kick-Off

KENNEDALE, Texas ­– IMCA EMI RaceSaver Sprint Cars get top billing at Kennedale Speedway Park’s season-opening Spring Kick-Off Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 27-28.

There’s a first-place check of $1,000 with a minimum of $150 paid to start in the winged division on opening night.

Running both nights are Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds for $500 to win and $75 to start and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMods for $500 to win and $60 to start.

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Modified and Stock Car regional, and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded.

There is no entry fee. Pit passes are $30. Grandstand admission is $12 for adults, $10 for military and seniors, $5 for kids 6-11 and free for five and under.

Gates open at 4 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m. on Saturday. Gates open at 3 p.m. and racing starts at 6 p.m. Sunday.

An open practice runs from 5-10 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 26.
