Dubuque fair date added to IMCA Hawkeye Dirt Tour schedule

DUBUQUE, Iowa – A 10th date has been added to the Hawkeye Dirt Tour, on Tuesday, July 26, opening night of the Dubuque County Fair.

Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds will race for a minimum of $1,000 to win and a minimum of $150 to start when they make their first tour visit to Dubuque Speedway for the midweek show.

In addition to special series points, IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, North Central Region and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded. The feature is a qualifying race for the 2017 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot.

Pit gates open at 4 p.m., hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m.

Fair admission is $10, which covers admission to the grandstand while kids 11 and under are free when accompanying a paid adult. Pit passes are $25.

Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and the Sprint Invaders are also on the card. National and state points will be awarded to Northern SportMods; there is no entry fee for any division.
