By Greg Soukup EAGLE, Neb. (June 2) – Mike Densberger ended a too-long absence from victory lane at Eagle Raceway with Saturday’s Runner Freight IMCA Modified checkers. The fifth starting Densberger passed Mike Lineberry for second on lap three and grabbed the lead the next time around. Jordan Grabouski, who had to transfer through the ‘B’ feature took over fourth with four to go and vaulted into second after two more laps but didn’t have enough time to make a play for the front spot. “It’s been a long time, almost three years now. Hoffman hoists Park Jefferson hardware

JEFFERSON, S.D. (June 2) – Park Jefferson Speedway hosted the IMCA Racing Series featuring the Road to the Iron Cup for Z98 IMCA Hobby Stocks on Saturday and when it was all done, it was the familiar 8X of Andy Hoffman standing in the winner’s circle $375 richer. On a bone dry track, Hoffman came from the third row to roar by front row starters Kevin Bruck and Paul Menard. Rusty Montague was second with Kevin Bruck finishing third. Chris Abelson finally broke Jay Noteboom’s ownership on victory lane as he came from row three along to take the Artworks Graphics IMCA Modified checkers. Dinsmore returns to victory lane at I-37

Hallas PLEASANTON, Texas (June 2) – Returning after several weeks off, Greg Dinsmore found himself in a familiar place, victory lane, following the Saturday IMCA Modified main event at I-37 Speedway. Leading every lap but the first one, Dinsmore got by early beader Bill Pittaway and then held off Cody Tidwell on restarts to secure the win “Setting the car up for dry slick was key tonight,” explained Dinsmore. “It was a patience game and hit your marks. Once you find a line that’s fast, feel the car dig pretty good, just keep hitting those marks.” Chris Morris rounded out the top three.

Meyer continues Off Road streak

(June 2) – Ramsey Meyer made up ground from a starting position four rows back, then established a commanding lead in extending his Mach-1 Sport Compact win streak at Off Road Speedway to four straight Saturday night. Shannon Pospisil and Tanner Uehling finished second and third, respectively. In the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature, Cameron Wilkinson also added to a consecutive-win streak – his third win in a row – but in much closer fashion, holding off Jeremy Hoskinson by a matter of inches at the finish line after taking the lead from Hoskinson with just two laps remaining. Poll rides to Maquoketa IMCA Late Model checkers

By Rob Hinckley MAQUOKETA, Iowa (June 2) – He glanced at the green light each time he drove down the back stretch and front stretch. Jon Poll did not want that green to change to yellow. He got his wish and the Bellevue driver rolled to the Andover Meat IMCA Late Model 25-lap feature win Saturday evening at Maquoketa Speedway. “Just hoping there wasn’t a caution for me,” Poll said. “I did one final adjustment before I climbed in and it paid off.” Poll started on the pole, dodged a few raindrops late and held off veteran Joe Ross, who stayed there the entire race. Johnson is tops at Tri-City

By Roger Williams AUBURN, Mich. (June 1) – Tri-City Motor Speedway’s Main Street Seed and Supply IMCA Modified division has been dominated as of late by rookie driver Nate Jones. He was looking for his fourth feature win in a row Friday night but had to start from row five in order to do so. Chris Cohoon overtook the front row on lap one and continued to lead the field until lap seven when defending champion Kody Johnson took his turn at the front. With few cautions, Johnson was able to keep the field behind him and was the first to finish the 20-lap feature. Jones fought his way up to second at the finish. Cohoon, Chad Wernette and Matt Szecsodi clawed their way into the top five.

Roberts dominates stout Modified field at Stuart

By Josh Reynolds STUART, Iowa (June 1) – Nick Roberts was not to be denied in picking up the IMCA Modified win Friday at Stuart Speedway. Roberts led Clint Luellen and Josh Gilman on lap one, but the field was slowed the next time around for a caution. Roberts picked back up where he left off when the green flag came back out, slowly pulling away from Luellen and Gilman. Luellen work the high and low sides of the track as well as, using lap traffic to gain some on the leader, but Roberts was not to be denied on this night as he went on to take the win. Sustaire is first in IMCA Red River Modified Tour finale

By Mike Spieker ARDMORE, Oklahoma (June 1) – Kevin Sustaire dominated Friday’s feature to close out the IMCA Red River Modified Tour at Southern Oklahoma Speedway. Already on the Fast Shafts Invitational ballot, he earned $1,500 for the victory while Chris Elliott was the best driver through six rounds and earned the inaugural tour championship. Thirty-one IMCA Modifieds rolled off three-wide to start the tour finale. Sustaire wasted no time moving to the front as he charged from the middle of row two to the lead on the opening lap. A caution on lap two regrouped the field. On the restart, Cory Davis and Matt Guillaume filed into second and third, respectively, as Sustaire showed the way. Trenchard triumphs at Haudenshild Tribute

(June 2) – After taking the lead from Preston Jones early in the race, Nick Trenchard went on to victory in the 25-lap IMCA Modified main event Saturday at Southern Oregon Speedway. This was the sixth annual Roger Haudenshild Tribute race and the win paid $2,000 to Trenchard, new to the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. It was also his third win in the big event. Jones paced just one lap before Trenchard made an outside pass to gain the lead. On the third lap, Albert Gill took second and Duane Orsburn made his way to third. By then, Trenchard was a straightaway in the lead, leaving behind him a good battle between Gill and Orsburn for second.
