EAGLE, Neb. (June 2) – Mike Densberger ended a too-long absence from victory lane at Eagle Raceway with Saturday’s Runner Freight IMCA Modified checkers.

The fifth starting Densberger passed Mike Lineberry for second on lap three and grabbed the lead the next time around. Jordan Grabouski, who had to transfer through the ‘B’ feature took over fourth with four to go and vaulted into second after two more laps but didn’t have enough time to make a play for the front spot.

“It’s been a long time, almost three years now. I knew there were a lot of fast cars behind me, so I wanted to get to the front and keep them behind me,” Densberger said. “It was a little rough to­night but after how much rain we got last night you couldn’t ask for a better track. We set the car up for it and she was a rocket tonight.”

Shawn Harker won for the fourth time in five Purdue University IMCA Northern SportMod outings at Eagle this season, by all of 33/1,000’s of a second in front of Anthony Kobus.

Roy Armstrong got the lead with four laps left and drove to the Valentino’s IMCA Hobby Stock victory. In his third year in the class, Josh Young scored his first ATV Motorsports IMCA Sport Compact win at Eagle.

Joey Danley worked his way to the lead on lap five and led to the finish for this first IMCA Rac­eSaver Sprint Car victory of the season.

One hundred and sixty cars were entered on Double Down Duel Night.

Fans hail Hall Saturday at Eagle

By Greg Soukup  EAGLE, Neb. (May 7, 2022) – After he went back to the drawing board, Derek Hall went to victory lane. Hall led from the first lap to the checkers in winning Saturday’s Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod main event at Eagle Raceway. “We didn’t have a very good showing the first night so we went back to the drawing board. We had two weeks to do it because we got rained out again last week,” he said from victory lane. “So we spent those two weeks going over the car and found some things here and there that needed to be changed. Qualifying starts tonight at RaceSaver Nationals

By Greg Soukup EAGLE, Neb. (Sept. 1, 2022) – The first night of the 10th annual IMCA Racesaver Nationals went off without a hitch Thursday evening at Eagle Raceway. Mother Nature cooperated, giving us a beautiful afternoon and evening with a nice breeze as the fans watched several sets of hot laps to allow the out-of-towners a chance to get reacclimated with the high-banked 1/3-mile oval. After hot laps were done there were five heats of IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars attempting to be a part of Saturday’s Race of Champions. Plenty of Sprints were on hand, with a good deal more expected on site as quite a few of the regulars at America’s Home Track will join them in the house beginning on Friday. Horton is first in Eagle Sprint feature

(July 2, 2022) – Brandon Horton was first to the checkers when a change in the running order had IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars take to the high banks for the first main event of the evening Saturday at Eagle Raceway. Horton passed Jason Danley for the lead on a lap five restart. Mike Boston got past Danley for second with eight circuits remaining but couldn’t close the gap on the leader. “In eight or nine years now, I think we’ve finished in every single spot in the feature except winning it, so this feels really good, finally,” said Horton. “I liked the track tonight. I think running the Sprint Cars first kind of set in a nice groove that everyone else ran as the night went on.
