IMCA Late Models return to weekly programs at Boone County Raceway

ALBION, Neb. (Feb. 6) – IMCA Late Models return to weekly programs at Boone County Raceway this season. The Friday night venue at Albion becomes the latest Nebraska venue to add the premier division in 2019. “Sanctioning Late Models was one of the best things we could do. The new sanctions will benefit all four tracks,” said promoter Mike Trollope, citing the addition of the class at Columbus, McCool Junction and Norfolk as well. “We really like the rules. Going with IMCA makes it easier for us to tech and more fair for the racer.” Boone County had run sanctioned Late Models during the 1995 and 1996 seasons. The division joins IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts on Albion’s 3/8-mile dirt oval. Schoenfeld continues special events awards, IMCA Modified national decal program role

VAN BUREN, Ark. – Schoenfeld Headers continues a broad slate of awards for IMCA drivers in 2019, its 21st season as a sponsor for the sanctioning body. Manufacturer of the Official Mufflers of IMCA, Schoenfeld returns to the national decal program for Modifieds. Drivers in that division are required to display two Schoenfeld decals on their race car to be eligible for shares of national and regional point funds. 281 Speedway starts new season with IMCA Big Chill Throwdown special

STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Four IMCA divisions are on the card for both nights of 281 Speedway’s season-opening Big Chill Throwdown. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts will be featured in Friday and Saturday, Feb. 8 and 9 shows. Modifieds race for $600 to win, Stock Cars and Southern SportMods both for $500 and Sport Compacts for $200 each night. Fast Shafts qualifier slated Feb. 27 at LVMS Dirt Track

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – IMCA Modifieds run for $1,000 to win and a berth on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot at their Wednesday, Feb. 27 show at Las Vegas Motor Speedway’s half-mile Dirt Track. The feature pays a minimum of $75 to start with $50 paid to non-qualifiers. Entry fee is $25.
