Texas Lone Star Series starts with Abilene Ice Breaker Feb. 21-23
ABILENE, Texas (Feb. 14) – Opening weekend for the Texas Lone Star Series doubles as Abilene Speedway’s Ice Breaker special Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 21-23. Series feature events are on the card each night for IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds, Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. Top prize for Modifieds each night is $700. SportMods run for $600 to win, Stock Cars for $400 to win and Hobby Stocks for $250. All applicable IMCA points, including track points, will be awarded for each draw/redraw show. Home region points will be awarded to Modified, Stock and Hobby drivers; Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods can race with Southern SportMods but not for points. Selby Holder returns as tour director. Southwest Racing Specialties of Hobbs, N.M., is title sponsor of the Southern SportMod series and Wild Child Race Cars of Burleson is title sponsor for the Stock Car series.
