Sabin starts IMCA winners’ parade at Stuart Speedway

By Josh Reynolds STUART, Iowa (May 22, 2022) – Kolby Sabin started the parade of IMCA feature winners Sunday evening at Karl Chevrolet of Stuart International Speedway. Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts were the first sanctioned division on the speedway with Elijah Hoyt and Mitchell Bunch pacing the field. Hoyt led early with Bunch getting by on lap four. Bunch held the top spot until Sabin cruised by on lap eight.  Tyler Fiebelkorn followed Sabin into second but couldn’t close the deal as Sabin went on to the win. Fiebelkorn finished second with Bunch third. Josh Pruitt and Jeremy Gettler brought the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars out with Gettler getting the advantage early on. Cautions on laps nine and 10 were the only thing slowing Gettler down as he led the distance to take the win. Sweet IMCA STARS Mod Lite win for Choate at Sugar Bowl Winter Nationals

CLEWISTON, Fla. (Feb. 12) – Ronnie Choate started and ended the IMCA STARS Mod Lite Sugar Bowl Winter Nationals presented by Sunoco Race Fuels in victory lane. The IMCA STARS Mod Lite driver from Cookeville, Tenn., topped Thursday’s opening night feature at Hendry County Motorsports Park and earned $500, then scored a $5,000 payday in Saturday’s main event. “This made all the hard work and sweat we have put into this worth it,” said Choate, sharing credit for the Sugar Bowl success with brother-in-law and crew chief Logan Rittenberry. “We have struggled but we never gave up. “The money makes it all pretty good but the best part is that we didn’t give up and now we’re getting somewhere.” A record 66 STARS Mod Lites from 13 states and Canada vied in the third annual special.
