Seibold rings up career first IMCA Stock Car win

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (May 9, 2024) – His phone started ringing right after Brian Seibold’s Thursday night IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature win at Park Jefferson Speedway. It hasn’t stopped. The victory was Seibold’s first in nearly 120 career starts in The Class Too Tough Too Tame dating to 2019. Mike Nichols, IMCA’s all-time wins leader, Texas hotshoe Shelby Williams and Todd Gereau completed the top four behind him. “It was pretty amazing, to say the least. The top five or six guys there were fast, really fast,” said Seibold, “and when they showed up and I saw them pulling into the pits I thought to myself that this was going to be a rough night.” He added fuel but made no setup changes after going backwards in his heat, accurately figuring what his car and the track would do in the main event. James, Comer, Bryant gain first-night wins at Douglas County

(May 10, 2024) – The newest track in the Pacific Northwest to gain IMCA sanctioning, Douglas County Dirtrack formally opened its 2024 IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing season on Friday. The Douglas County Fairgrounds 3/10-clay oval hosted the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods, and the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts. Track and state points were on the line, as well as Shaw Race Cars Western Region for the Modifieds. Bricen James stormed the castle with a brilliant last-lap move in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main event. The Albany racer reeled in Grey Ferrando in the last few laps and masterly timed an overtake move to get by him at the drop of the checkers. Ferrando had a speedy piece and stormed towards the front on the first lap. Ferrando was relatively quick but did have to negotiate some slower traffic, which allowed James to give chase. Brown, VanderBeek, Anderson score wins before rain halts CJ

By Jerry Mackey COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa (May 10, 2024) – Night number two of the 2024 IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing season at CJ Speedway was held Friday with Superior Steering Wheel & Graphics providing sponsorship and bonus money for all feature winners. The Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds saw defending track champion Jarrett Brown shoot into the lead from his outside front row start and go on to lead flag to flag in scoring the Fast Shafts All Star Invitational eligible qualifier and the $1,000 first place prize money. Brown had the field bunched up to his rear bumper following a minor spin and on the restart it appeared that Kurt Kile may be able to mount a challenge for the lead but Brown was able to move back out to a comfortable lead. Kile finished second to Brown ahead of Kyle Madden. The IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars saw a first-time visitor to the CJ Speedway on Friday night. OSKALOOSA, Iowa (May 6, 2024) – The details of Brayton Carter’s racing career are recorded in a growing collection of notebooks, detailing everything from where he started to where he finished. VINTON, Iowa (May 5) – Drivers who’ve experienced their share of success at Benton County Speedway added to their impressive careers Sunday night at The Bullring. Three drivers who stood atop their respective division’s wins list found victory lane again Sunday night. The all-time leader in Friesen Performance IMCA Modified wins in Vinton, Troy Cordes drove the high side to a thrilling win in the Wright Way Trailers 20-lapper. Jerry Dedrick and Jesse Belez shared time out front before Jacob Snyder raced the low side into the lead a couple laps into the event. While Snyder pulled away, Trevor Fitz raced through traffic from the fourth row and Cordes set sail from row three.
