Maynard’s Modified pays tribute to those who served

WYALUSING, Pa. – Jake Maynard is driving a dream while paying tribute to the men and women who have served our country in all branches of the armed forces. The 18-year-old from Wyalusing, Pa., is the driver of an award-winning IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified with a military theme. Names of 123 service members dating from the Civil War through Operation Enduring Freedom are listed on “dogs tags” on the body of the car. An eagle and American flag are on each door panel and POW/MIA banners on the side panels. BATESVILLE, Ark. (March 18) – NASCAR fan favorite Ken Schrader joins the headline field on Thursday, opening night of the Mid-America Modified Championship special at Batesville Motor Speedway. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 20-22 IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified features all pay $1,500 to win, a minimum of $200 to start and are Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifiers. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Jet Racing Central Region and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded each night. Sweet steering box gains official IMCA designation

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (March 14) – Sweet Manufacturing marks a pair of milestones as a marketing partner with IMCA in 2014. The Kalamazoo, Mich., company has been designated as manufacturer of the “Official steering box of IMCA” in its fifth season of sponsorship. Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center backs IMCA Southern SportMods

LUBBOCK, Texas (March 12) – The 2014 season will be the second for Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center as title sponsor of IMCA’s Southern SportMod division. The Lubbock, Texas, distributor is one of the largest GM parts retailers and Chevrolet engine dealers in the United States and provides a portion of the $9,500 point fund to be paid to top 15 drivers in national standings for the division. Chadwick up to challenge in Nor-Cal opener at Silver Dollar

CHICO, Calif. (March 7-8) – After a disappointing 2013 season, Kellen Chadwick picked the perfect night and the perfect track to launch a successful 2014 campaign. Chadwick held off Ryan McDaniel and then Troy Foulger in winning the Saturday night IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified feature at Silver Dollar Speedway.
