
Cotton Bowl sanctions four IMCA divisions in 2014
PAIGE, Texas – Cotton Bowl Speedway at Paige will sanction IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds, Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks beginning in 2014. The 3/8-mile semi-banked clay oval is approximately 30 miles east of Austin on Highway 290. The Saturday night venue opened this year and has a seating capacity of 5,000. “We’re already excited about next season and sanctioning our Modifieds and SportMods with IMCA,” promoter Danny Bennett said. “We had a good weekly car count this year around 20 Modifieds and 18-21 SportMods. Hopefully we can have the same type of results with the sanctioned Stock Cars and Hobby Stocks as new classes for Cotton Bowl in 2014.” An opening night date and special event dates for 2014 are to be announced.
