82 Stock Car drivers now eligible to qualify for B & B Chassis All-Star Invitational

BOONE, Iowa – Abe Huls and Todd Gereau are the newest additions to the list of 82 drivers eligible to qualify for the B & B Chassis All-Star Invitational. Time trial qualifying is Wednesday, Sept. 8 with the inaugural Stock Car invitational to be held Thursday, Sept. 9 during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s at Boone Speedway. Five drivers from the Northern Region and five drivers from the Southern Region advance from the first round; winners of sanctioned events paying $5,000 or more are guaranteed starting spots so the number of at-large qualifiers from round two that evening is yet to be determined. Drivers winning sanctioned events paying $750 or more held through the first weekend of September become eligible to qualify. 164 IMCA Modified drivers now Fast Shafts All-Star qualifying eligible

BOONE, Iowa – Jordan Hicks, Dylan Smith, Collin Thirlby, Kelsie Foley, Craig Oakes and David Stremme are the most recent winners of IMCA Modified features paying $1,000 or more and are the latest additions to the list of 164 drivers now eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. Early entries for Super Nationals at record 800

BOONE, Iowa (Aug. 27) – Another week, another record number of entries for the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.  Registration opened on July 7 and Northern SportMod driver Travis Burger of Manhattan, Kan., became the first pre-entry. Modified driver Brent Dutenhoffer of Watertown, S.D., became the record 800th pre-registered driver this afternoon.  This is the earliest day early entry numbers for Super Nationals have hit that mark. Bigger, better IMCA Super Nationals on track Sept. 6-11 at Boone Speedway

BOONE, Iowa – Even bigger. Even better.  More than 780 pre-entries are already in hand for the 39th annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s Sept. 6-11 and drivers and fans from across the country and Canada have, as always, much to look forward to during the week at Boone Speedway.  “We’ve already put a lot of thought into, and done a lot of work in making this year’s Super Nationals the best yet,” said IMCA President Brett Root, ticking off the list of physical improvements already completed at the speedway. “But at the end of the day what makes this event is the race track itself. It’s the track we give them, the ability crews have to adapt to it and just the quality of racing.” Another 100 reserved pit stalls, some including electricity and water, in the VIP area and new concrete stalls in the south parking area were quickly spoken for. $250 Sunoco bonus Saturday night at Junction Motor Speedway

VINTON, Iowa – Extra money is on the line for the potential winner of the main event for IMCA Sunoco Late Models this Saturday at McCool Junction. The next installment of the $250 Sunoco Race Fuels bonus will be paid to the August 28 Late Model winner at Junction Motor Speedway.  Sunoco bonuses will be presented at IMCA Late Model sanctioned tracks in 2021. Drivers are eligible for one bonus during the racing season. Winners so far this year have been Matt Ryan at 300 Raceway in Farley, followed by Sean Johnson at Independence Motor Speedway, Andy Eckrich at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Ron Klein at Dubuque Speedway, Kyle Prauner at U.S. 30 Speedway in Columbus, Chase Osborne at Boone County Raceway in Albion, Brock Carlson at Off Road Speedway in Norfolk, Dave Eckrich at Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, Justin Kay at Davenport Speedway, and most recently Kale Kosiski last Saturday night at Shelby County Speedway in Harlan. IMCA Modifieds, Late Models chasing $1,000 top checks at US 30 Speedway

COLUMBUS, Neb. – IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Late Models both race for $1,000 to win on season championship night Thursday, Aug. 26 at US 30 Speedway.  The Modified feature is a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifier and is sponsored by Westring Trucking of Humphrey. L & M Steel Co. LLC of Newman Grove provides the extra money for the Late Models.  Completing the race program are IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks.  Pit gates open at 5 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 6 p.m. Hot laps are at 7:15 p.m. with racing at 8 p.m.  Grandstand admission is $15 for adults, $6 for kids and free for five and under. East Moline Speedway honors Webb’s 50-year career with rescheduled tribute race Sept. 19

By Rob Hinckley EAST MOLINE, Ill. – As well as he is running right now, he may even win it. At age 72, Hall of Famer Gary Webb’s dirt track racing career is still at high speed. Webb is in his 50th season of speeding around tracks locally and beyond. The 50 years will be celebrated with The Salute to Gary Webb Eriksen Chevrolet IMCA Sunoco Late Model race on Sunday, Sept. 19 at East Moline Speedway. The event was rescheduled from June 20 due to rain. “Fifty years at anything is a milestone, but racing at the level Gary has for five decades means more,” EMS General Manager and Race Director Bret Sievertsen said. “We knew East Moline Speedway wanted to honor Gary, especially since he considers this track ‘home’ and won a lot here.” The feature race will be 56 laps, in honor of Webb’s car number and pay $2,000 to the winner.
