$1,000 to win IMCA Modified features headline Park Jefferson’s Iron Cup

JEFFERSON, S.D. – Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win both nights of Park Jefferson Speedway’s Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 17 and 18 Iron Cup special. Both features are qualifying events for the 2017 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot and pay a minimum of $100 to start. Also running both nights are IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $600 to win, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods both for $500 to win, and Mach-1 Sport Compacts for $200 to win. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded. Huge weekend doubleheader for Sprint Series of Oklahoma

By David Smith Jr. ARDMORE, Okla. – A pivotal weekend in the battle for the inaugural point championship takes place this weekend as the Sprint Series of Oklahoma is set for a doubleheader weekend this coming Friday and Saturday, Sept. 16 and 17. It all kicks off on Friday night as the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car Series make its fourth and final appearance of the season at Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore. The SSO will then take to the road and head northwest to Longdale, Okla., Speedway for its inaugural appearance at the speedway. They will be joined by the Kansas based United Rebel Sprint Car Series (URSS) in much anticipated event between the two series on “neutral” ground. Record 84 Sport Compacts race Tuesday at IMCA Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 6) – Fans of the 4-cylinder class will get their money’s worth and then some Tuesday night at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. A record 84 Mach-1 Sport Compacts race tonight with eight heats and four “B” features setting the field for the 25-lap main event at Boone Speedway. Sport Compacts have been part of the Super Nationals program since 2011; the previous car count record of 64 was established two years ago. GILLETTE, Wyo. – Gillette Thunder Speedway hosts three $1,000 to win features for Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds over the course of its 17th annual East-West Clash special Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 2-4.
