IMCA Modifieds chase $3,700 top check at Silver Bullet’s Sam O’Connor Memorial

OWENDALE, Mich.– IMCA Modifieds chase a top check of $3,700 plus lap money at Silver Bullet Speedway’s inaugural Sam O’Connor Memorial on Saturday, June 1.  O’Connor was a long-time competitor at Silver Bullet. His car number was 37 and that’s the number of laps that will be run in the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier. The runner-up earns $1,037, with $937 paid for third, $837 for fourth, $737 for fifth, $637 for sixth, $537 for seventh, $437 for eighth, $337 for ninth, $237 for 10th and $137 for 11th through 20th. Ten dollars will be paid to the leader of each lap and the winner of a seven-car dash pockets $370. United Rebel Sprint Series heads to Dodge City for Saturday showdown

By David Smith Jr., OKTidbits  DODGE CITY, Kan. – The POWRi United Rebel Sprint Series presented by Mel Hambelton Ford Racing kicks back into racing action this coming Saturday night, June 1 as they make their se­cond appearance of the season at Dodge City Raceway Park in Dodge City, Kan., in a showdown with the track’s Precise Racing Products DCRP Sprint Car division.   This event will be a tune-up for the upcoming third annual Lubbock Wrecker Service DCRP 305 Sprint Car Nationals that are set to take place June 13-15.  Brian Herbert will come into the night’s racing action as the current point leader while two-time and defending tour champion Zach Blurton is just four-points behind.  Drivers making up positions three through 10 in the early season point standings include Kade Hagins, Tracey Hill, Aaron Ploussard, Dalton Webb, Martens, Andy Shouse, Steven Richardson and Brandon Anderson.   Twenty-eight drivers competed in that first event back in April at Dodge City and officials expect about that many this weekend for the $700 to win feature finale. MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa – With hopes that the third time will be a charm, opening night for the Arnold Motor Supply Dirt Knights Tour moves to Marshalltown Speedway. Traveling IMCA Modifieds race for $2,000 to win their Tuesday, June 4 main event.  A Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berth is at stake, as are IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Side Biter Chassis North Central Region, E3 Spark Plugs State and special series points. COLBY, Kan. – The winner of Thomas County Speedway’s inaugural Nutrien IMCA Modified Madness will go home $3,000 richer.  A berth on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot is at stake as well at the Saturday, June 1 special, which pays a minimum of $200 to start. Winnemucca hosts June 1, 2 High Desert Classic Shootout

WINNEMUCCA, Nev. – The third annual running of Winnemucca Regional Raceway’s High Desert Classic Shootout plays out June 1 and 2, with IMCA Modifieds chasing top checks of $1,000 on Saturday and $2,000 on Sunday.  The Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifiers pay a minimum of $100 to start and IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Larry Shaw Race Cars Western Region, E3 Spark Plugs Nevada State and track points will be awarded. $5,000 is top IMCA Modified prize at Dacotah Speedway’s Iron Man special

MANDAN, N.D. – IMCA Modifieds will race 100 laps with a top prize of $5,000 on the line at Dacotah Speedway’s May 31-June 1 Iron Man 100. Qualifying for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier begins Friday, May 31 with heat races and two $1,000 to win qualifying features. ‘B’ features complete the main event field for Saturday, June 1. There will be a mandatory pit stop at midway for fuel and tearoffs. $5,000 is top prize at RPM’s inaugural First Class Chassis Stock Car Shootout

HAYS, Kan. – The inaugural IMCA Sunoco Stock Car Shootout May 27-29 at RPM Speed­way  offers not only $5,000 to the winner, but many contingency prizes and awards also.   RPM staff have been hard at work to ensure the Shootout, presented by First Class Chassis, is the biggest paying prize money and contingency event the Great Plains has ever seen. “The IMCA Stock Cars are one of the most competitive classes right now.” stated speedway co-promoter Wade Porter.  Porter ,along with Rod Bencken promote the highly successful 3/8-mile speedplant in Hays, Kan.  “The Stock Cars put on three- and four-wide racing on any given night and we wanted to show­case that here in Kansas for the nation to see,” commented Bencken. Memorial Day season debut for IMCA Modifieds at Sheyenne Speedway

LISBON, N.D. – IMCA Modifieds make their appropriate season debut at Sheyenne Speedway on Me­morial Day. The race program at Lisbon gets underway at 6 p.m. Monday, May 27. The VFW Color Guard will pre­sent and then raise the flag before the National Anthem, there will be a four-wide salute on the track and the National Guard will be on hand with a Hummer as the pace vehicle.   “Memorial Day has and always will be a very special day as we remember those we have lost and thank those who serve to keep us safe in this great country,” said promoter Benjie Froemke. “Lisbon is also home to the North Dakota Veterans Home and we pay tribute to those who have served by recognizing them and thanking them for their service while remembering those who have lost their lives in preserving the many freedoms we enjoy.” Remaining IMCA Modified dates at Sheyenne are June 30, Aug. 4 and Aug. 11.

Triple crown chase starts Saturday at Park Jefferson Speedway’s Memorial Clash

JEFFERSON, S.D. – This Saturday, May 25, Park Jefferson Speedway will host one of the fans’ favorite nights of racing at the Park.  A full night of IMCA racing will be on hand as the Artworks Graphics-sponsored IMCA Modifieds compete in the fourth annual Memorial Clash. 2019 IMCA Red River Modified Tour set to start this weekend, May 25-31

By Jackson Braun KENNEDALE, Texas – Pre-registration has officially closed for the 2019 edition of the IMCA Red River Modified Tour.  If the quality of racing from last year is any indication, everyone is in for a treat during the tour’s second running. Eighty-one IMCA Modifieds have registered, along with 62 Smiley’s Racing Prod­ucts Southern SportMods and 19 IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars.  Inaugural champion Chris Elliott from Abilene looks to defend his Modified crown as the stacked field of racers will try to figure out how to put together a championship run. IMCA Modifieds will compete for a $1,500 prize every night, with an entry into the feature worth a $100 payday.
