Arnold Motor Supply Dirt Knights Tour opener moves to Marshalltown

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa – With hopes that the third time will be a charm, opening night for the Arnold Motor Supply Dirt Knights Tour moves to Marshalltown Speedway.

Traveling IMCA Modifieds race for $2,000 to win their Tuesday, June 4 main event. 

A Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berth is at stake, as are IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Side Biter Chassis North Central Region, E3 Spark Plugs State and special series points.

Also on the midweek program are IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods, chasing $500 top checks, and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks in a $300 to win feature.

National, regional and state points will be awarded in those divisions.

Pit gates open at 5 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5:30 p.m. Hot laps are at 7 p.m. with racing to follow. 

Spectator admission is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and free for kids ages 10 and under. Pit passes are $30.

Rained out events so far this spring have been at Sports Park Raceway in Fort Dodge and the traditional Memorial Day show at Benton County Speedway in Vinton. 

Title sponsor Arnold Motor Supply provides a portion of the $10,000 tour point fund and also awards a Traeger Lil’ Tex Elite Pellet Grill to the champion. Wehrs Machine and Racing Products returns as presenting sponsor.
